Default Strengths and weaknesses this season

With the preseason games over, what would you say are the Packers' strengths and weaknesses?

I'll start with the obvious ones.

Strength: Rodgers is in pretty stunnning form. Glad we have him rather than the previous guy, whose name escapes me . In fact, at the moment it's hard to think of another QB I'd rather have, given his age and future potential.

Weakness: Backup QBs. Flynn has virtually no regular-season experience, and Brohm has been very disappointing in 2 preseasons by all accounts (and also has no experience).

Still a chance that this weakness may be addressed, though.

Sorry to butt in, but wouldn't it be hilarious if the Vikings cut Tavaris Jackson, you guys pick him up as a backup, Rodgers gets hurt (that part is not supposed to be funny before anyone starts) and then Jackson leads the Packers to the playoffs, while Favre splutters as the Vikings miss out.

As unlikely as that would be, it would definitely be truly epic.

Weakness: Adjusting to the 3-4 defense.

Even if the Capers 3-4 will be a good system in the medium-term, it's hard to predict how it will function this first year. Early signs in preseason suggest the defense can get good pressure and force turnovers. But there were some worrying gaps exploited by Beanie Wells and a rushing Vince Young. It's likely that some costly mistakes will occur while the players are getting familiar with the system.

The Packers struggled mightily with run-defense and quarterback runs last season, so it's not exactly a new problem.

My take:

Strengths: passing offense, passing defense, pass protection
Weaknesses: special teams, run defense, rushing the QB

All three weaknesses identified were major weaknesses last year, hopefully the Packers will have improved in those areas, aided by the transition to the 3-4 and a new punter/new special teams coach.

The starting O and D has been awesome in pre-season.

I have no worries at all.
