As with all Free Agents it is a bit of a lottery, few big money Free Agents make a massive impact at their new team.

The Albert move (although not confirmed) does seem strange. In the twilight of his career and a large injury history but is seen as an upgrade to Beachum? I hope Tom Coughlin knows what he is doing.
Sorry gotta enjoy that for a second, I got very roundly shouted down from pretty much everyone here for expressing that this needed taking into account

Very few FAs work out very well, just the nature of the thing I know, but Caudwell seems to have the knack of picking the wrong people in Draft, FA, trades etc for most of his tenure. At his best times he's been average, mostly much worse...

Unrestricted FAs
93 Tyson Alualu DE
21 Prince Amukamara CB
36 Joe Banyard RB
68 Kelvin Beachum T
37 Johnathan Cyprien SS
35 Akeem Davis SS
79 Jordan Hill DT
76 Luke Joeckel G
77 Patrick Omameh T
73 Jeremiah Poutasi T
16 Denard Robinson RB
81 Bryan Walters WR

I hope that at least Cyprien, Joeckel and one of the tackles are signed. Too many holes to fill in the draft otherwise.

Also I'm a fan of safe-hands Walters, plays the slot position very well.

Amukamara and Alualu would need to be good deals for us in our opinion.

Both Prince and Cyprien are going to get waaay overpaid for performing in a contract season, I don't think we'd afford to splash for both, I could take or leave which one we actually pick, it's probably a wash...

Looks like it may well be Alualu's last hurrah in JAX, a man who sums up everything that went wrong in almost a decade of drafting.

Davon House was released.

News on NFL.com is that the Jaguars are expected to sign (D-Line) Calais Campbell and Safety) Barry Church and are looking like the favourites to sign (Guard) Kevin Zeitler.

Would be pleased to have Zeitler in the building, a good guard whilst not flashy is a must. Church is like Amukamara last year for me, probably will be fine but not overly exciting.

Campbell for me is probably going to be the nail in the coffin for our front office regeime. What is the logic in getting one of the most expensive free agents out there to play completely out of position in a 4-3 offense? Crazy....

I came home to the news of:

Jaguars resign WR Bryan Walters - Good news, I assume it didn't cost a fortune, he always seems reliable in the slot to make the catch, a rotation player.

Jaguars release DT Sen'Derrick Marks
- Damn, I liked the guy! Good personality. He had a great season before last, I guess he hasn't properly recovered from his injury and/or a big name DT is coming in.

Jaguars acquire OT Branden Albert in a trade - We kind of knew this already, but now it is official. When fit, he is one of the best in his position, I assume that he has been signed because he is fit, so it's a good signing. We needed a starting tackle free agent, either by re-signing or the likes of Albert. He'll add needed experience to the O-Line.

Jaguars reach agreement with CB A.J. Bouye - Five-year, $67.5 million deal. The contract is set to pay Bouye $44 million over the first three years. That is... a lot, but the money is there to be spent. With Davon House being released, a corner back was needed and Bouye is an upgrade over House.

Jaguars have been chosen by DE Calais Campbell - $60 million over 4 years, an interesting one.. An extremely good player, but we play with a different system, I'd like to think someone of his quality could quickly adapt.
