One does not simply give peyton manning a 24 point head start and expect to win.

There are positives. One is that we're never dead seemingly.

We held peyton manning to 7 in a half.

Trent richardson despite limited playing time did not look like a liability, he will average nicely this year and look good doing it, (not playing the nfc west helps that nicely)

Castonzo did a fine job on dware. Yes a sack happened but id take that.

REEEEGGGGGGGGGGGGGIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE boaby says throw it to reggie. Speaking of players back dwayne allen had a couple drops but a lovely td.

D'qwell jackson looked as good as possible covering julius thomas.
Vontae davis is awesome
There were negatives,

Too many drops for my liking.

Inside oline needs work.
No pressure, we miss mathis for his ironic performance enhancement.
Defence was as a whole like a sieve in the first half

Didnt miss it was a delay of game rendering the miss null and void.

The Colts are a pretty good team. They showed that in the second half.

Now the W is in the book - and with the aid of our friend Mr Hindsight - then that second half could do the Broncos a lot of good.

I bet some of the new defenders were pinching themselves in the first half - 'it's like being on vacation this job'. Then wakey, wakey - put that suntan lotion away you don't get anything for free in this league.

Videos can now be watched of the team under a bit of pressure. Will do them good to see how they reacted.

I bet 'kin Julius was extra happy they held on. 3 TD's and was nearly remembered as 'the bloke who fumbled the onside kick'!

Nice win to start. First half was very good although the Colts lack of a pass rush helped. Sanders looks very good and I like the combination of Ball and Anderson. Not pretty running but they both ran hard. Julius Thomas is going to put up ridiculous numbers this year, close to Jimmy Graham. OL better with Clady.
2nd half wasn't good and showed why we're still behind the Seahawks because they would never let a lead that big get close.Too many drops. Defensively we done some good things, pass rush was on and off and will only get better once Von is healthier. I expected some growing pains with all the additions and giving up over 400 yards showed that. The secondary saved us in the end, good to see Moore back and coming up big. Chris Harris back too and has to be the most under rated corner in the league. Liked the look of Roby too.

Isn't 4oD brilliant! The Colts need to get started a bit sooner. Last-minute scrambles are all very well but they tend to degenerate into shambles.
