Default NFLUK 2019 7 Round Mock Draft-Picks Thread

Hi everyone, and welcome to the 2019 NFLUK Mock Draft!

Rules:

1. Post only picks here

2. When making your pick please post the team name, name of the player, position and college. If you wish to give a reason for your pick you may, but it isn't mandatory.

3. Discussion should be left for the Discussion Thread and not in here.

4. Trades are allowed in this mock, however only draft picks from this year are allowed to be traded. So no future picks or players. All trades must be confirmed by both teams in the discussion thread before going through. If they aren't the picks will remain in the original teams hands. Trades must be agreed within the first 3 hours of your pick window.

5. This draft will reflect real life up until the start of the draft at 6pm on Wednesday 20th March. Any trades NFL teams make after this date will have no effect on our game.

6. Each pick will have 6 hours to be posted. This may be reduced to 4 hours in later rounds in the event that we fall behind. You may PM me or another user your pick (or a list of names) in advance if you fear you might miss your slot. Failure to show up or PM someone will forfeit your right to your teams further picks unless you give us notice in the Discussion Thread that you will be able to make that pick. If you are unable to log in to this site at any point, you can post your pick on the “emergency” forum linked below and I will copy it across.

https://nflukdraftcom.createaforum.com/index.php

7. Users who do not PM picks or make their picks will have it voted upon by the other users in the discussion thread. The player with the most votes as the time expires will be the selection (minimum of 3 votes for the player).

8. Once you have made a pick it is up to you to PM the next person in control of the next team on the board to notify them that they are on the clock.

9. If you know you'll miss a pick, please post in the thread that you're PMing me or another user, so that others know. That way, if your slot expires and it's my or another user's fault, you won't be penalised. If I'm going to be unavailable I'll let everyone know so you can PM someone else.

10. I will do my best to keep this post up to date with the player selections. Please check it to make sure your guy has not already been taken, but don't rely on it in case someone picks and I have not updated it fast enough!

11. The clock starts at 6pm on Wednesday 20th March. The clock only stops from midnight til 6am each day. So we get 6 hours day one and 18 hours from the second day onward. Picks can be made from the opening of this thread, however no-one is 'on the clock' officially until the start time.

With the 1st pick of the draft the Arizona Cardinals select:-

Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma, 5'10", 195lbs

"Off-the-charts athleticism make him one of the most explosive players in this draft class. Will draw comparisons to Russell Wilson but is a better athlete. Can play in the pocket and doesn't look to run if first progression isn't there. Shows good accuracy and touch, and can make every throw. His height (he measured 5-foot-10 at the combine) will be the biggest concern for some NFL teams but Murray could still be the first-overall pick, following in the footsteps of former Oklahoma teammate and Hesiman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield." - cbssports

With the 3rd pick in the 2019 NFLUK Mock Draft, the New York Jets select:

Josh Allen, OLB, Kentucky

Edge rush has been a serious issue for the Jets since John Abraham left town, Allen should immediately contribute and has the potential to consistently produce double digit sack numbers.

With the 4th pick of the 2019 NFLUK Mock Draft the Oakland Raiders select:

Devin White- Linebacker: LSU

Lets not kid ourselves, the recent signing of Vontaze Burfict doesn't solve the Raiders seemingly eternal search for Linebacking talent. I love Quinnen Williams but White fills a bigger need, is the complete package, possibly the safest pick in the draft, and while #4 is a smidge too high I am not unhappy.

With the 5th pick of the 2019 NFLUK Mock Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select:

Quinnen Williams
Defensive Tackle, Alabama

McCoy's successor in the books - and a lot less expensive. But regardless of positional need, and clearly defensive tackle wasn't the issue with the horrific 2018 Bucs defense, Williams isn't a player I could pass up at 5. Especially as he was the last blue chip prospect available to me.
Todd Bowles has himself a shiny new toy to kick-start the Bucs defensive rebuild.

With the 6th pick of the 2019 NFLUK Mock Draft, the New York Football Giants select:

Montez Sweat, EDGE, Mississippi State

a tough choice in the end, i had White pretty much penciled in at this spot but with him off the board i opted to find someone who could get to the QB and this fella has the tools to make a big impact.

Jonah Williams is the best Offensive Lineman in the draft.
