Look at someone like Barkley, he shows flashes of skill, but he can also be frustrating to watch (not saying Barkley is world class).

I think it is the nature of the English game. I think it's probably also aspects of the technical side of the game. I think it's the psyche of English players. So many different things. I can't believe that Coaches don't want to produce/have players of a high quality, players who can beat 3 guys and create something.

I think also perhaps it's because we 'elevate' foreign players over our own. I'm not saying we have produced a Messi, but some of the players we've produced aren't too far removed from their equivalents abroad imo. Why do we not trust the opinion of Pele, Kaiser, Xavi etc? They were good/great players, so they must base their opinion on something.
I have read far to many articles from Pele or the Kaiser where they have more or less said player A is world class based on the nation of the person asking the question, so far as far as I can tell there is only me and Robbie Savage who haven't been rated world class by these two

I genuinely think our country approach has always been a true special talent is always more of a liability than other players who fit the mould better, and I think that's been true of our club sides as well

I do accept the view of over inflation as well but you only have to look at other European countries domestic leagues in general, most of them now available on TV, always have more time on the ball and appear to have better technique and for me it's not even close but others im sure will disagree

Lol due to my German allegiance I have to support whoever plays them, even if it's the rep of Ireland the only World Cup or Euros final I don't think I could actually watch

I'm not ready to open the celebration drinks yet with them being down to 10 men, a goal for Turkey will be the icing on cake

Great stat on twitter, Netherlands have conceded more goals (13) than England allowed their opponents shots on target (12) in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Now 3-1 with a comedy own goal by RVP, I'm now hoping they get it back to 3-3 so that will be the moment that knocks them out

I'm not sure if that says more about the Dutch or our opposition.

To fair RVP can be a tad annoying.
