ESPN Boston Mike Reiss NEP coaching changes:

Bill O'Brien will be promoted to OC (officially) along with his duties as QB coach.

LB coach Matt Patricia will now coach the Safety group. Don't really know what to make of that.

Defensive assistant Patrick Graham will now coach the LB group.

ST coach Brian Flores will become a defensive assistant.

Very well deserved by O'Brien.

As for patricia moving over, Ian Rapoport was saying (and I agree) that it may have something to do with discipline. Our LB corps is set in stone now bat one more draft pik which should come along this year.

Witht he right coaching, Merriweather can be a great safety...his influence will do the group a lot of good!

With the right way of tackling he'll be one of the top Safeties in the NFL. Instead of going for the big hit and taking out one of our players, he'll learn to wrap them up.

I think Patricia should sit Meriweather in front of a rugby game and tell him to learn how to tackle.

He's got Asante Samuel syndrome. Scared of the traditional tackle in case he gets hurt.
