The NFL Show on BBC1 (Sat 2nd Dec) - 657,000
That must be a rarity for the later game to outperform the 6pm game? Shows what a terrible choice sky made going with that game.

The BBC NFL Show numbers are pretty healthy. Its shifted about a bit and late at night , and whilst Catch-Up help boost the figures the numbers and share are good for a minority sport

Just wish they'd give it a 6pm or 7pm slot on BBC2. You'd get a boom like you saw in the 1980's on C4 with that listing

Although it's one late it's clever scheduling as well because that slot after MOTD always performs well whatever is shown then.

I see Mark Waller claimed yesterday that there was a 50% increase in viewing on Sky in the early Sunday wildcard slot this year (Bills/Jags).

Worth comparing to last year for context. Last year was not on Sky Sports Mix and only on Sky Sports 1. This year it was on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Action. The game was also close, although defensive battle. Last year was a Steelers blowout over the Dolphins.

With the change in Sports lineups this year the NFL has got lucky because they have seen a uptake in viewership because many weekends they've followed the Premier League on SSME. The weeks the live game was only on Sky Sports Action and Red Zone only on Sky Sports Mix it was actually consistent with last year's numbers.

Week 17

Surprising number of (sensible?) people shunning NYE celebrations and watching Sky Sports Mix Red Zone - 49,000

24,000 and 20,000 watched the games on Sky Sports Action but not that useful as they were also shown on Sky Sports Main Event for which numbers are not provided.

Wildcard Round

Titans v Chiefs: 74,000
Falcons v Rams: didn't rank so at least less than 39,000 (inc time shifted)
Bills v Jags: 182,000 (highest playoff game since Ravens v Pats 2013 AFCCG, being free on Sky Sports Mix - 79,000 - helped though)
Saints v Panthers 73,000

Jaguars at Patriots Championship Game is on Sky Sports Mix this Sunday.
I cancelled my Sky Sports package this season as there's no need to have it with live NFL free on Sky Sports Mix every week.

Wildcard Round

Due to all the games being on Sky Sports Main Event but all getting at least less than 99,000 on that channel, it's hard to quantify the viewing from the BARB website.

On Sky Sports Action

Titans v Chiefs: 31,000
Bills v Jags: 49,000
Saints v Panthers 28,000

On Sky Sports Mix

Titans v Chiefs: did not rate but less than 17,000
Bills v Jags: 71,000

Without the Sky Sports Main Events numbers the Bills v Jags got 120,000
That's good for a wildcard compared to recent years although being on the free Mix channel is a big help and not an apples to apples comparison to anything previous.

Jaguars at Patriots Championship Game is on Sky Sports Mix this Sunday.
