Default Manning dropped.

News has just come in that the giants will start Geno Smith over Eli.
For me this makes zero sense. Manning has no one to throw to and is being used as a scapegoat. Poor choice and the end of the NYG manning era.

Room for you at the Jags Eli

A real shame that a streak of 210 starts 'ends' because the Giants top brass want to kick their season into touch.

I actually hope Geno plays well for a game or two and knocks them down the draft order a little.

Surely if this is anything more than desperate HC & GM trying one last throw of the dice and this is actually a long term decision, Davis Webb should be the one to evaluate

^ The truth

Seriously if i was a Giants fan i would be pig sick at the disrespect this move is towards Eli. At worst you let him ride this season out, and if needs be make the moves in the off-season in a classy way. Not this crap. I feel real bad for Eli.

Seems as though Davis Webb will get to start a game or two as well.

Cant see the veteran players on this team responding too well to the move.

Odd that McAdoo would make this move too if he was trying to save his job. Ok, a more mobile Smith (or Webb) might scramble for the odd first down, and be more elusive in the pocket behind a porous OL, but 'turning around' their season cant be as simple as that. This isn't about winning games, it's about rebuilding with the added benefit of better draft picks should it all go south anyway.

Elway persuades another Manning to give it one last hurrah, Broncos win the 2019 Superbowl with Eli Manning starting 8 games, Trevor Siemian starting 5 games, Brock Osweiler starting 3 games, and Paxton Lynch starting in 2 games.

Remember where you heard it first. Genius from Elway and whoever replaced Vance Joseph as head coach in 2018.

Go Broncos.

Got to feel for Eli, judging from that interview I think he's planning for the future which isn't with the giants imo, total lack of respect to a stalwart of the franchise that's done it all with them. I can see why they want to play the backup QB in an already dud season, but a couple of series/snaps would of sufficed to drop him altogether is a kick in the teeth

Wouldn't be surprised to see him rock up at either the Broncos or Jags next season.
