Default Bears @ Cowboys (Wk.3)

Was going to write 'all Cowboys' as the subject but thought I would avoid spoilers given that some people might be watching the game on catch-up. Certainly wasn't worth staying up for!

Overall I think that 'all Cowboys' is a fair description of the first half, and arguably the game. Other than a fleeting bit of offense in the 2nd quarter the Bears offense was mostly non-existent and Defense not far behind (no matter how beat up it is). I thought Howard has solidified his case to start at RB given he helped on the only scoring drive from that half (injury to Langford may make this statement irrelevant).

The second half didn't start well but the strip from Glenn did help the Bears find some offense which they converted into a TD. Defensively we did seem to wake up a bit in the 3rd quarter although it was far too little, too late. So overall a pretty stinky performance...again. No offense and defense not making any plays for most of the game.

Although early and most pundits have already written the Bears off, we are probably already at a point where you can stick a fork in this team. It's not even October!

Lions next, where we might be a perfect tonic for them.

Went completely as expected, they blew us out in the first half, and maybe could have ran the score up in the 2nd.

More injuries with Langford carted off, and AJ hobbling about.

Still don't see where we win next.

Agreed, it's pretty horrible to watch at the moment. I'd like to think that when the team starts getting healthy and some of our players are coming back that there are some winnable games on the schedule.

The only other small positive I can see is we are playing lots of rookies where hopefully some of those become better players in the long-term.

Still another poor season and just a question of where we are drafting from in the top 10, unless something drastically changes.

We probably need a Season '16 thread rather than individual game threads. But today was a lot better; Solid QB play, better running game and better Defensive performance pressuring Stafford.

That said the Lions didn't look good at all and by far and away the poorest team we've played this season. Still a win is a win. Feels good to stop the losses.
