Default Starting QBs in 2017

Has there ever been a more exciting group of QBs going into a college football season?

This year we will be watching (in no particular order)
Lamar Jackson - Louisville
Mason Rudolph - Oklahoma state
Josh Allen - Wyoming
Josh Rosen - UCLA
Sam Darnold - USC
JT Barrett - Ohio State
Wilton Speight - Michigan
Luke Falk - Washington State
Jake Browning - Washington
Baker Mayfield - Oklahoma
Kenny Hill - TCU
Malik Zaire - Notre Dame
Quinton Flowers - South Florida
Trace McSorley - Penn State

That's a pretty exciting group.

Jets should have their pick of at least most of these, although I wouldn't want us to go anywhere near Jackson, Barrett or Zaire... #SuckforSam

On paper, yes I agree. But I've heard it so many times that next year's class is great that I will hold fire on a judgement. Remember, this time last year Gunner Kiel was being touted as a big prospect for 2017's draft

This. I bet Mayfield and Falk get picked apart and hammered for the offence they are in.

I'd guess, at this stage, the 2 LA QB's come of it intact if they remain healthy.

Look at the RB's this year, people had Fournette as a generational player a year ago. He still could be but that unwavering support has diminished a little.

Justin Herbert was one of the only bright spots of a very poor Ducks season but I will wait until I have watched him this spring before trying to get him added to the list.

Probably should have added Brett Ripien, but it's impossible to watch a game on that hideous field, I wouldn't recommend watching them to anybody.

I think if Rosen didn't get hurt last season there would be a lot more hype for him similar to what Sam Darnold is receiving now. Right now those are the two guys who if things go as planned should be the first couple picks in the 2018 draft. Rosen needs to come back from his injury and make another leap though and Darnold needs to prove he wasn't just a one season wonder.

You could also argue it wouldn't be beyond the imagination for Washington State and Washington to have the first pick in the next two drafts.
And despite my extreme dislike of the Penn State program, Trace McSorley could even be a first overall pick too.

There are guys in the list who clearly won't be the first pick overall, but there are an awful lot who should at least be in the conversation
