Default Week 1: Jets @ Texans -- News & Notes

Although there is a gameday thread in the NFL Season section, I thought we could use this thread to discuss any news concerning the Texans for the game.

Here are some items of interest about the game:

Grossman named #2 QB

Texans Game Release

Flip Card

Injury Report

Only 3 more days 'til the Texans start the season.

Team captains for the Texans this season are Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, Mario Williams, DeMeco Ryans, Kris Brown, and Kevin Bentley.

An additional captain is named for each game. This week it is Zac Diles.

Dunta Robinson will start the game at CB.

To make room on the roster for Robinson the Texans waived RB Andre Hall.

Nice one Battle Red for the info.

I like Grossman as a number 2 QB. He looked good against Tampa.

Cant waite for Sunday

Utterly disappointed. One of the worst games the Texans have ever played.

Out-coached and out-played in all areas. A team with a rookie QB, a rookie head coach and missing two key defensive players just steamrolls all over the Texans.

Performances like this gets coaches sacked and players traded. They had eight months to get ready for this game and they played flat from the start.

I'm so disgusted. Now they have to go into Nashville next week and beat the Titans. No easy task.

I was gutted. I was so excited before the game. I agree with your comments Battle Red.

They completely new our game and were better in all areas.

I like the look of the Titans. It is going to be tough as they have a good Roster and Head Coach.

We always seem to get off to a late start. We need to beat the Titans now. I am hoping the team get fired up after this loss.
