Maybe a tough game for the Pats but I'm not expecting it to be a close as recent encounters. Based on latest evidence (vs the 'skins) Pats should win this comfortably, but not easily.

LaGarrette Blount will get about 15yds from the LoS on about 10 carries so I hope Dion Lewis is good-to-go as well.

TB will be forced to pass all day as the Jets will nullify our run game as usual - but we'll cope. Gronk and DAmen will have good days.

The ghost of Rex will be exorcised from Met Life.

Miami pose a bigger threat next week.

The week after, the 'skins are in town. Yee Ha!!!

Agree, in most sports great defense normally trumps great offense. With the changes over the years the NFL has got to the point where this is no longer the case. The Patriots have too many weapons, think it'll be a big day for Gronk, Amendola or maybe Keshawn Martin. The line won't be able to get to Brady in time and he'll pick on the weakest part of the defense Harris and Davis.

I don't think the Jets offense can keep up unless they successfully ride Ivory but I think Belichick will look to take that away more than he will Marshall as some have suggested. BB is going to make Fitzpatrick beat the Patriots through the air.

Spot on in that last paragraph. Bill is gonna make Fitzmagic throw into tight windows, the tough throws and if he makes them then fair play. Probability is he will throw a pick or two, which should give us enough to get points on offence. See this as a 7 point win for the Pats.

Jets are a good team and will be in the wildcard come January

Read some old match day thread for this match up.

Then read this lol.

Pats fans aren't predictable at all.

Also see on NFL .com Pats official Twitter tweeted the butt fumble pic - then deleted it

Haha brilliant. Do it and own it or don't do it at all.

You stay classy New England.

Should be a good game this one , Jets have a great looking D and the O much improved and as long as Fitz is careful with the ball should be a hard fought game by two well coached teams .
Its no surprise to me this team has gotten better since Rex left think towards the end he was holding this team back (looks at the Bills ill disciplined and tbh the D seems to have taken a step backwards).
I think we split these games this year both going to the home team .
Pats win 33-20 i hope

Luckily this is a home game.

The Jets have a formidable D and I'm quite worried. I never pick against the Patriots, but I'm not confident. The lack of bluster and rhetoric coming out of the frankly very well run Bowles Jets team when compared with the past under Rex Ryan is worrying.

I fully expect a close game and would not be at all surprised if the Jets win. However, I think we edge it at home. Patriots 27-23 Jets

You could say from a Jets fan that's not a hugely unpredictable comment, but that would be doing a disservice to a lot of fans who don't feel the need to bang on about staying classy everytime they talk about the Patriots. It was a picture put up by some guy in an office who updates twitter, calm down.

Think this will be the toughest game so far

Classy. Broadway Sheldon.

Patriots go 5-1 and fall into 2nd place behind the Jets.

Game over. We're on to the Dolphins.

Another headline writer slightly exaggerating a piece there, to be honest.
