They were supposed to tell him in person, but he overslept and missed the meeting...

I expect he will be flying out commercial again this time.

I can't see most teams wanting to touch him now, but if I had to pick someone it'd be Jerry.

So he missed the flight, and was late for team meetings this past weekend?

And all this happened after the world witnessed him on Hard Knocks explicitly promising Rick Smith that it wouldn't happen again after he was late for practice during training camp!

And he blamed traffic for missing the flight and allegedly someone's looked into it and there was no traffic.

I'm still saying Cowboys next stop. He went to Arkansas and you know who has a problem at QB and loves signing Razorbacks...

tbh its hard to know if the reasoning is true but when you lose your job to an injury and Hoyer its gonna be hard for a guy to get over even if he should be professional.

i'm not sure if its this season but he will get another shot at a team for a back up slot.
i prefer him over a couple of guys plus showing up late is hardly the worse thing a player has done.

Cowboys? Surely there comes a point when even Jerry has had his fill of mediocre QB'S?

As for Mallet, low on talent and a poor attitude, stick a fork in him.

He's awful, just an awful QB. Hasn't learnt a thing in the league it seems, has no idea how to read defences, or throw with any anticipation. He's basically a worse less mobile version of Jay Cutler.

As Danny bear said stick a fork in him

I remember the draft buzz around Mallett. Big arm, can make all the throws etc. I don't watch college ball so this always made Mallett an intriguing prospect to me. I wanted to see him get a shot. From what I saw of him playing for the Texans, he's awful. He has no touch in his arm and just looks to throw a hole in his receivers. He doesn't seem to anticipate or read defenses all that well either.

You will be forgiven in the NFL for small misdemeanours like missing a plane but you'll only be forgiven if you have talent and your team needs you. Mallett didn't tick either of those boxes in Houston so it's no surprise they've cut him loose. I'd be surprised if he's ever a starting QB again.
