Default Fire stick or chromecast

Hi apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but I am trying to find a better way of beaming gamepass to my TV.

Currently I am using a first gen chromecast plugged into a hdmi extension so it is closer to my router as when I plug directly into TV its is that much further from router and the wifi antenna in chromecast isn't good enough to keep a stable picture.

My question really is should I upgrade to a 2nd gen chromecast with better wifi antenna or is there a gamepass app yet on amazon firestick or roku stick which would make them better choices ?

Anyone any ideas or know how good the wifi antenna are on firesticks or Roku devices ?

Any help appreciated tx.

I’m using 2nd gen chromecast and picture quality is HD even though the router is in a different room. Not had any issues.

Never had the 1st one, used Apple TV and now the 2nd generation chromecast. I’d recommend either but Apple TV is very pricey and chromecast is good value for money.

I use a 1st gen Chromecast and have not had any real issues.
I occasionally get it where the feed stalls but I assumed that was due to the Gamepass issues this year.

My first choice is to use the Gamepass channel via my Plex TV App.
This hasn't always worked every week this season but when it does the picture quality is superb and no issues with stalling.
