The irony is that Smith might've been on more already because he was on the last of the big rookie contracts. I'd tag him rather than MJ if push came to shove. I'm not sure MJ would be as attractive in Free Agency and he's getting a lot of help from Geno, Dunlap etc.

Amazing how many kickers got tagged in 2012 after the abuse the Bengals took for doing what was a very good business decision at the time.
We just need to resign them both and Kicker should be based on Nugent's fitness, has he ever finished a year with us?!

According to NFL.com Maualuga is on his way out.
And could end up playing for the ravens who apparently still rate him.

Whilst this is good news for our pre-season plans, and the fact we get to slate him for going to a divisional rival, I don't know why it would take the Ravens to want him in order for him to move on?

Or is Harbaugh seeing something here that many of us and Marv just haven't figured out yet?

Reported that we will pass on resigning him .
I would resign him if he takes a pay cut , we have the cap space to do so.

You beauty...hoping that this story is true as he is one of the main weaknesses in this defense if they are serious about making a run to the big show!

I'm looking forward to see Burffict in the middle.... they might decide on a F/A to fill Burffict's old spot or take a punt on Vince Rey perhaps.

Burfict in the middle and sign Darryl Smith in free agency to play outside.

What a mess the Steelers are in
Brilliant article that strongly suggests the Bengals are the team to beat in the AFC north.

I'd be gutted if we let him go, he's going to be the bargain of free agency if he gets to it. Very underrated.
