Stick Dolphins into the Panda's, fluffy bunnies, kittens category........ they just don't strike fear into folks.
Still better than the idea for the new logo posted above

I think you missed my point a bit there Zonk! I wasn't talking about whether they improved it or not! That's a matter of opinion that I didn't commit to!

I was just trying to get across that I didn't want the Dolphins to completely overhaul everything so they become unrecognisable as the Dolphins. I was just using the Bucs as an example of a team that had done that, and they might as well have been a new franchise. Whether its an improvement or not, I would hate the Dolphins to do something similar. They have to remain connected to the past.

That prototype logo might not be brilliant... But it does at least tie up with what we already have. The colours are the same and the logo similar. It would not represent a complete Bucs-style overhaul. Nobody would ever doubt that they are still the dolphins.

This is a cleaner looking version of the same thing. I don't think it'll be far off that when the new one is finally revealed. Personally, I don't like it, it looks more like it begins to a swimming club or a health spa than a football team. As before mentioned I'd hope they give the Dolphin a face and helmet ball again as this looks a bit like a faceless organisation. Final point is that they've changed the Dolphins tail for the first time. It's always been pointing down as though he's jet packing his way to victory. This looks like he's going for a leisurely swim instead. Something halfway between this and current and it'll be okay.

God it stinks.

We'll be playing in a darker green in a couple of years then just change it for navy so all 32 teams can interchange their home jerseys!

It isn't bad; I tend to think a logo is only good if you can sketch a reasonable version of it from memory; and as a result most NFL logos are annoyingly detailed and fussy. This one has that nice simplicity to it.

That said, much of the charm of Miami's logo is in the comedy/ tongue-in-cheek-ness of it, and this version doesn't have it.

Agree with Csonka - This is a much better logo. The other one just doesn't stand up to any of the current NFL team logos.

If it's going to be here for the draft i'd imagine they've pretty much settled on what it's going to be by now.

Everyone knew it was happening... but I guess this is finally the official confirmation.
