It's also looking more and more certain that the Giants will have their pick of the QB's (if they want one) in next years draft.

at this moment it seems to be a waste of a pick, the QB class seems to be lacking and the top fella is rumoured to be staying in school.

the problem is we brought in a new GM who decided to go into win now mode without the squad to back it up and spend on an average LT who seems to be getting worse with every game.

Philadelphia DE Derek Barnett is out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

The Raiders have another new kicker - ex Viking flop Daniel Carlson.

One kicker for 18 years and now this? Raiders have waived Obi Melifonwu from injured reserve.

This division is winnable, THIS year. Now. That 1st round WR in 2019 isn't going to help you now. Cooper comes in on a Bye week too, giving him time to get on the same page.

The Raiders aren't giving Cooper away for peanuts. Maybe you get him for a 2nd round pick in April, or at 5 minutes to the deadline, but I doubt Gruden is accepting a 2nd round pick from the vast majority of this league.
Is Cooper the difference to win us the East though? I dont think so.

Busy few days.

Cooper is tricky.. not worth the price, plus having to negotiate very soon after where if you don't pay up you have given away a 1st rounder, cooper's agent must be rubbing his hands together...on the other hand, as stated the east is very winable even with a mediocre record. Jerry is gambling on Cooper improving in a new environment, which is possible.

Don't see Apple improving for the saints, don't think he is worth the price.

As gruden is merrily emptying the roster to start over, if a good offer comes in for Carr I think he takes it.. question is, what is a good offer for decent but certainly not great qb? Probably higher than his ceiling is worth. The Jags would probably consider it.

At 29, and having bounced from team to team with only 1 good season amongst them, he's a short term prospect for someone at best

Eli Apple has time on his side to turn it around. New York wasn't the best place for him to be. Like Prince Amakamura, he could improve elsewhere
