who is the basketball player that Tony Kornheiser regularly refers to as "Soulja Boy" on PTI?

Soujla Boy is a Rapper but I'll try and explain what he has to do with Basketball.

Basically in the Cavs- Wizrds series Deshaun Stevenson called LeBron overrated which LeBron took no offense to saying.

It's almost like Jay-Z saying something bad about Soulja Boy. There's no comparison.
Soulja Boy didn't appreciate this and then said.

Someone from Interscope Records called me and sent me the quote," Way said. "I looked and didn't really think much about it. LeBron said something like he was Jay-Z and DeShawn [Stevenson] is Soulja Boy. I took that as [disrespectful]."
Stevenson then invited Soulja Boy to sit courtside while wearing a Wizards jersey once the series returns to D.C., which Soulja Boy happily accepted.

Hope that helps

Cheers for that. I love PTI but honestly know nothing about basketball, so when they are chatting about the play-offs I struggle to know what they're talking about. Kornheiser didn't stop prattling on about "Soulja Boy!" and I wondered who the hell he had named after the rapper. Now it makes a bit more sense. Cheers!

Got great odds on the Hawks to beat the Celtics later 17/1. Took it in a flash, even if Celtics are favored.

Lakers look comfortable against the Jazz already. Sure Utah handled the boards comfortably (Okur got 19) but Gasol and Odom just need to man up and they should advance without too many problems. On the plus side their defense was incredible they play Defense like that the reminder of the Playoffs they win the title and Kobe was his usual self.

Oh and it looks like Kobe Bryant has won his 1st MVP award. Completely deserved they guy was robbed in 2006 but it was only a matter of time before he won it.

Yeah congraulations to Kobe. Hard to believe its his first MVP. And arent the Hornets suprising everyone. Takin that 2-0 lead againt the Spurs I did not see coming and why the Spurs may have pulled one back I think the Hornets should have this one.

Lakers advance to the Western Conference finals finally beating the Jazz on the road. Unbelievable how big a part home-court is playing in these playoffs, the Celtics flat out suck on the road.

Here's how I see the remaining matchups playing out.

Celtics beat Cavs

Hornets beat Spurs

Pistons beat Celtics

Lakers beat Hornets

Lakers beat Pistons

Incredible matchups...San Antonio Spurs vs Los Angeles Lakers in the west, Detroit Pistons vs Boston Celtics in the east.
I cant believe there could be a Spurs Pistons final,
would much prefer the Lakers vs Celtics, but we'll see :-\

I'm praying, as are the TV execs, for a Lakers v Celtics finals.

The greatest rivalry in NBA history. Russell v Chamberlain, Magic v Bird, Kobe v Garnett. That is what the NBA Finals are all about. Two all-time greats going head-to-head.

Spurs v Pistons. zzzzzzzz
