Do you guys think the draft lotery is a good thing?

I mean isnt it a bit unfair that the Celtics the worse team(from what i hear by far) dont get a shot at EITHER Oden or Durant?

also anyone going to the sixers game in london in October?

ive thought about getting tixs because watching basketball is amazing(altho havent yet got massively into NBA altho decided to support bulls because i like their perimeter play and british influence!) but havent decided yet.

I don't really mind the lottery, yeah the Celtics got screwed along with the Grizzlies in it, but to be fair it usually doesn't screw over teams as badly as it did this year.

Oden will go to the Trailblazers, and rumours say that Atlanta will take Conley, which I guess is a reach but they need a PG desperately.

And Seattle got lucky this year, especially considering they won't be keeping Rashard Lewis this year, but Durant has the potential to be much better than him.

I love Brewer. he can guard any posistion on the floor with his length and quickness. I think he can be a great player if he can improve his offensive consistancy.

Brewer will never be a great player for the reason you stated, he's not a good ball handler and he's not particularly good with the ball in his hands, full stop. And at 6'8 and around 185 lbs, he's gonna need to bulk up to be a force.

I dont think Conley would be a reach at 3. After Oden and Durrant its similar talent levels for a while with the possible exception of Brandon Wright

Most players coming out of college need to bulk up so thats nothing new.

I'm not sure how good of a ball handler he would need to be, its not like he is going to transform into a guard. He shoots well enough, is explosive attacking the rim and has NBA level defense at the 1-4 spots already.

Are you serious?

He's a reach at 3 if ever there was one, he's only hyped up big time because of 2 reasons: firstly, he played with Oden at Ohio State and secondly there isn't a huge amount of top point guards in the draft, so people are just considering him one since he is the best in the draft, but he's definitely not superstar material.

I think general opinion from what I have seen is that if Conley never played with Oden, most people would've had him as a late first/early second rounder.

Spurs pretty much guranteed a place in the NBA Finals can't see anyway back for the Jazz now to be honest. Ginobilli had one of his hotter games last night

Not buying that. He is a much better shooter than he showed last year and that was his major weakness. Lack of size could be an issue i guess as could the fact he is coming out as a freshman. No way he is a second round player though
