I hope Urlacher's trip to Minnesota is a carefully designed ploy to freak out fans and pressure the Bears into re-signing him.

When Ditka drafted Chris Zorich and people asked him why, he said "Zorich is a Bear". Urlacher is a Bear and should stay a Bear. It wouldn't be right to see him in another uniform. Especially a division rival.

Agree completely. He needs to come back.

Disappointing news about Nick Roach. May go LB early in the draft.

Default Linebacker Free Agent?

Hi all,
I agree with many and think we should sign Urlacher, and i'm sure we will at the right price.
But losing both Roach and Hayes we still need 2 more. I would sign Daryl Smith. At 31 he's probably past his best, and was average last year ,but he should be cheap/within our cap space (If not poss Brad Jones; ex GB as a back up). Then i'd draft one more LB.
Cheers Gary

I'd like also like us to sign some more OL in FA if we have cap space. Brandon Moore was still outstanding last season and i'd sign him for 1 year. At his age his performance could fall off dramatically but worth a risk on the best Right Guard available. Possibly also consider Kevin Booth as left Guard.

Can anyone tell me how many snaps (or whatever) Evan Rodriguez played in his role as FB?
Hi Greg,

Please see this ESPN link 'http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4682709/fbte-evan-rodriguez-training-with-brandon-marshall-alshon-jeffery'

'The Bears used Rodriguez an average of 19 offensive snaps per game, with a high of 32 snaps (52 percent of all snaps) in the Bears’ Week 13 overtime loss to the Seattle Seahawks.'

Cheers
Gary

“Devin is strictly a specialist right now,” Trestman said at a breakfast with the media at the NFL annual meetings.

Surely not, a coach that realises Hester stinks at WR?

^ Yep. More indication that we will be looking for a speedster in the first 2 rounds.

Not sure about the 1st/2nd, but yes I will be shock if we don't draft speed.

At the moment I would be happy to see Urlacher back and draft a future MLB high, who would line up next to him this season.
