Hate seeing Chelsea lose as they did today but the result, along with the results at Arsenal and Liverpool show that no team is guaranteed to win and there will be plenty of twists in this season yet.

Liverpool are in very real danger of becoming relegation candidates.

There are too many poor teams in the PL for that too happen, but Liverpool's performances have been shocking so far.

At this rate it's no European place let alone Roy's aim of a CL spot.

...suppose it could be worse for the red half....they could be Everton

Nonsense.

Although I did hate the appointment of Hodgson, who I thought was actually pretty overrated at Fulham. They had no business getting where they did in the Europa League (Cannavaro's sending off) and they actually regressed significantly in the league.

That being said. Liverpool look bad, but with players like Reina, Gerrard and Torres, they will not get relegated. The rest of the squad is pretty average, but not terrible (with some blatant exceptions). They'll finish top half.

I think on form they kinda are already (candidates that is), obviously on paper they're not, but the question is does it snowball? Will Woy be able to keep morale up and confidence levels high?

You do get those odd occasions in sports when a decent team just absolutely bombs and they get their confidence knocked, and that feeds into more bad results and the whole thing becomes a vicious cycle.

Man Utd haven't looked that great this year, you've thrown away a two goal lead twice and almost did that a third time on Sunday against a team that basically didn't even turn up. I've been more impressed with City than United. Chelsea can only beat what's in front of them, and they've done so in some style, they've lost a tough match today when they looked nailed on to go and get a draw in what would be one of their hardest away fixtures all year. The carling cup loss was a bit odd but from a mate who was at the ground the other night he reckons it was just a case of Chelsea getting out muscled and not being able to switch up to a different style of football.

If Reina was to get an injury that put out for 10 or so games then Liverpool would, IMO, find themselves in serious problems.

Stuart Atwell is not premiership standard, all he seems to do it make mistakes.

Common sense would have ruled out the first goal, its clear to everyone that Turner isn't actually taking that. If that rule was applied every time a player repositions the ball with his foot before taking a free kick it would be carnage

Add to that the inexplicable yellow for Gerrard's elbow (it's either nothing or a straight red) and the stonewall penalty for Danny Welbeck we had turned down and I think we were very hard done to yesterday
