With Scandrick back should we play more man on man and allow Lee to blitz more?

The corners have always been better suited to man to man. I don't think zone or man to man necessarily dictates what Lee does, but he clearly has the instincts and intelligence to do a myriad of things.

Obviously the lack of pass rush might force their hand a little, they may have to send an extra man, and that man might be Lee on occasion. Bryon Jones might be key to those blitzes, his range and athleticism might help to close the inevitable gaps said blitzes create.

I fear that our desperation to create pressure might mean we give up quite a few big plays. That said, you can't be too conservative, the offence has to score points, the defence needs to create turnovers.

Live by the Blitz die by the Blitz as they say..

Wouldn't be surprised to see Eli passing 40-50 times against us.

They can probably run or pass on this D.

Last season they had a 35/25 pass/run balance. I guess we'll see more of the same.

It would be nice if our D line isn't worn down by the 3Rd Q.

A hairline fracture of the knee for Dez then. Sounds like a 'pain management' thing rather than a major injury, unless they deem playing on it now could lead to longer term issues.

Not sure about this though:

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport - 'Bryant will be fined for missing team meetings and a scheduled MRI exam on Tuesday'

Don't know what that's all about?

Garrett has addressed the Dez situation then. 'an interesting one, a challenging one' I think his words were.

So Dez buried his head in the sand because he thought he had a bad injury....he missed the MRI and team meetings on Monday and Tuesday. So.....

....fine him like you would anyone else! You cant tread lightly just because it's Dez. He's no doubt frustrated at his lack of production, and maybe even being overshadowed by the rookies, but if he's so driven to be a success, for the team to be a success, then he can't disappear off the radar for 2 days in a sulk.

I'm not sure what the best way to publicly address this issue was but Garrett can be quite annoying at times like this. Instead of a cryptic message, which fair enough he expanded on, why not just say the situation has been resolved and we're focused on the 49ers. Now everyone will dig into how Dez is handled by the Cowboys.
