it's not his last year yet. He played a decent game in his only start of the season at Tennessee but has proven liable coming into games cold. The tennessee game suggests he may have something in him yet if he is trusted to be the man as he needs the work with the first teamers to succeed, no doubt about that

I'm interested in Matt Leinart, is this the final year of his rookie contract ? Surprised how badly he played the other day. Was a big fan of his in college, leftie, USC etc, must admit i would have been happy if Oakland had picked him
So would a lot of the Cards fans not me of course

Buffalo signed your runningback coach Curtis Modkins to be our offensive coordinator (he won't be calling many plays though) any word back what type of coach he is?

I think Leinhart has earned at least a run in the team next term, he has shown more than enough potential in his college career.

The point about him coming in cold and not being effective is really a good one. Wrote about this a little in my blog on 23.1.10 but it has got very little love, so never mind.

Who else is better than Leinhart is another argument, lots of sides are currently doing ok with ageing or average qb's. There is only really Brees, Rivers, Brady, Manning (E&P) who are truly leading an offense, even Palmer had a poor end to the season at Cinci so who realistically could the Cards get to replace Warner?

If Kurt retires, We will be a very different team on offence.
I think with Kurt gone Whis will move closer to his roots and we will become a pittsburgh style offence a run first offence but if we do that we better improve radically on defence. Because we won't be anywhere near as potent.
If you are going to be a run first offence you better be a damn good defence...

Mr Byte I think you are right, I think the run and strong defense will take pressure of a qb whether it be Matt, a trade, or a rookie. Not sure with the personnel we have whether we can make a defense tight enough.

Wrote a blog called 'shuffling the cards' where I looked at this as my subject matter, anyone who's interested have a look, would love to know what you all think.
