In truth the place was past its best and a bit of a dump but still have great memories of the place.

Did not know they decided to demolish it today. Sad to see it go and unfortunately never seen it in person. Will definately make it to the new stadium.

Watched it live on NFL Network earlier.... $35 Million to build and $6 Million to blow up.... So in the year 2047 it should cost around $200 Million to blow up Jerry's Taj Mahal lol

Very Sad Day In Cowboys History. Only been a fan for a few years and so didn't get to enjoy the SB's like many on here. But im glad to have seen a few seasons in the stadium. Wish i could have made it there to see. But will now have to go to Cowboys Stadium as im hoping this will bring as great a memories as Texas Stadium.

This was really sad for me to watch! Yes, it was passed its sell by date but it was our home, no matter how it looked!

Love watching building demolitions like that,..,....

As a 'Niners fan I should probably think of some sort of scathing comment about the place, but I shan't,... It's a piece of football history gone,.... A bit sad really, but as some of you have said it wasn't that great a building any more, and showing it's age,... Been replaced with newer and better,.... And it's probably what Candlestick has coming to it sometime in the next few years,.....

I dont envy you when Candlestick Park is demolished! Its really not a nice feeling! Its something i will never tease a fan about again! We do have a fantastic new stadium, but for me, Texas Stadium will always be home!

Goodbye Texas Stadium. The new stadium has already bought the Cowboys one good season, I wish the best to you guys for the next god knows how many long seasons.

And isn't San Fran thinking about building a new stadium. Here's a link giving some info on it.
