Default Wade to be Fired?

I get a feeling his time is up.

As a head coach I think he lacks something, whether it is the rumoured lack of player discipline - which has seemingly cost us the opening few games - or its that inability to inspire players, I don't know, but, in going back on my words from a few weeks past, I think Jerry's had enough and in all honesty, I have had enough. As a defensive co-ordinator however, I don't think there are many better in terms of strategy and play-calling, which is why I think losing him will be a real shame.

Regardless, what needs to be done, needs to be done, and in my opinion, done now. As far as I see it, our seasons over, McGee should get a shot and rather than waiting until early 2011 to fire him, why not get Wade out and someone in now that way the new guy (Whoever is may be) has some time to work things out.

I remain a huge fan of Wade and the things he has done for the team, its just a shame things never really worked out. All I can really say however, is take Jason Garrett with you...

Any suggestions for a new HC?

Matt

I think Wades time is up. The same with Garett, both seem to have run out of ideas. I dont even think wades defensive expertise will be missed, i look forward to seeing what a different coach and co-ordinaters can do with this bunch.

Put a package of picks together - maybe you can get Chan Gailey back from the Bills...

yes get Wade and Garrett out. I think bring an old cowboys legend for head coach. only problem with that is ruining there reputation if it all goes wrong.

I don't think Gailey would want to come back to Dallas if it was offered.

I don't know who will be the head coach next year, although I can see Norv Turner coming back to run the offence if he is fired in San Diego.

Can't see Cowher going there as Jerry wont give up the control. He tried that in 2003-2006 with Parcells and got 0 play-off wins so he will be convinced that the current structure works after all he in 3 years it has resulted in 2 division titles and a play-off win.

There were signs last year that Stephen Jones was taking more control when Jerry wanted to keep TO but Stephen did'nt. But hopefully if anything comes out of this mess of a season is that Jerry Jones sticks to the marketing side of the Cowboys, there is no doubt he is a genius at that, and lets someone else run the team. Sadly I don't think that will happen.

Jones may want a change of dynamic in the type of coach he has.

Gruden perhaps?

I would love Gruden. Do you think he'd be interested?

I think he would be. Who could resist such an opportunity? The team itself is Superbowl material, he has spent a couple of years out of the game doing his commentary slot, I hope he's ready to return.
