What do people think? It might take a bit of getting used to.

These tales of new logos appear every once in a while and I have seen some great looking designs - this is not one of them.

I like it, clean and simple and the colours fits in with the art deco architecture the city is known for.

Whether its this design or not, a new logo and hopefully uniform are on the way

Yeah I kind of like it, not completely ruining the image of the franchise with a total re-design.

From all the rumours that have been flying round since the summer, it definitely sounds like a new uniform is on the cards for 2013.

TBH... if that is the design I would probably be happy with it.

At least the logo and colours tie in with what the Dolphins have always had since they came into the league 46 years ago. At least they will still be recognisable as the Miami Dolphins.

The last thing I want, is a complete overhaul where they become completely un recognisable... i.e. what the Bucs did.

I am sorry but lets be honest the Bucs was a massive improvement on the puke coloured uni they were wearing in the early years.. they look much 'cooler' now than back in the day.. and I am glad the camp pirate has gone in place of the skull and cross bones flag - much better

Clean and simple are you kiddin me... it looks like someone has gone mad with a spirograph - I got my 7 year old daughter one for christmas I forgot to ask her last night if this was her effort or not.. If I was sat in the nose bleeds it may look good - I dont know - I have never been to Miami Stadium to take in the view from up there - I hope too - just not with this kiddies crayon effort at a design - hey here is an idea add some flowers to it - it is certainly effeminate enough.. or maybe this is a design for a new towel motif at the local Miami hotels?? - tbh I am amazed any of you like it at all..This blows worse than a Dolphins blow hole....

This is much better:

or why not return to retro and go for '72 look again.. now that would be awesome!!

Finally - any logo has to have the Dolphin wearing a helmet and it must also have a face... anything else and I officially decline - thanks all the same.

We have suffered mediocrity with the team for years lets not now do it with the helmet/uni/logo design.. come on Miami fans where is your passion that you are willing to accept this tosh?

Yes I am being outspoken - someone needs to be.

Don't think the "Spirograph" lines are part of the design tbh (more likely to do with the camera used) so maybe you can now breathe Zonk

The alternative helmet design is fine, but would suggest an over fussy uniform to go with it.

As long as we get rid of the 3d numbers I'm happy, but a return to the understated 70s style will be a step in the right direction

I am no camera enthusiast but I cannot see how those odd shaped spirographs are anything to do with the lens or camera and they certainly dont seem to match up with the rest of the design being slightly different in shape and size - it certainly does not overlay the logo... I am not so sure - in any event the rest of my rant holds up

Most logos need to strike intimidation or fear.. I know they really dont do that but it is all about 'war paint' mentality.. do you really think the logo with or without spirograph additions does that?

No matter what you do, how you create it, a Dolphin doesn't do fear and intimidation. The logo now has a Dolphin with a mean pose/look to it, but it's not that intimidating, it looks constipated more than anything.

Stick Dolphins into the Panda's, fluffy bunnies, kittens category........ they just don't strike fear into folks.
