Default Your 'what if?' draft

So what would you have done differently given who was still left on the board for your team?

Original Raiders draft - my alternative
Clelin Ferrell - same
Josh Jacobs - Montez Sweat
Johnathan Abram - Josh Jacobs
Trayvon Mullen - Irv Smith
Maxx Crosby - Julian Love
Isaiah Johnson - Drue Tranquill
Foster Moreau - Deionte Thompson
Hunter Renfrow - same
Quunton Bell - Jalen Jelks

I'm not sure about Sweat, something in him says bust to me but I can't really tell you what it is.

Personally I would have taken Devin White at #4 and then the best DE still available at #24 followed by the BPA that fitted a need at #27. It's hard to say who I would have got as the draft progressed though because, by changing 1 pick the whole draft probably changes?

Playing your game anyway though:

Ferrell
Sweat (anyway) Good value at #24
Jacobs
Cody Ford (we stay at #35 rather than trade down)
Julian Love
Renfrow (Piersbacher if I have to change)
Ty Summers (we stay at #218)
Jalen Jelks

Josh Allen - same
Jawaan Taylor - same (as long as the medical is clear - if not Cody Ford)
Josh Oliver - same
Quincy Williams - well, never even seen the name, so anyone I have heard of - but Mike Edwards (S - Kentucky) who went with the next pick.
Ryquell Armstead - Ross Pierschbacher - C - Alabama
Gardner Minshew - Keelan Doss - WR - UC-Davis
Dontavious Russell - Brett Rypien - QB - Boise State

Last 2 undrafted, but I love them and would be more than willing to spend a pick on them, particularly Doss (UDFA - Raiders).

Due to the butterfly effect it is a flawed exercise...….but enjoyable nonetheless!

(after waaay too much deliberation)

Reality:

2.58 Trysten Hill, DT. UCF.
3.90 Connor McGovern, G. Penn State.
4.128 Tony Pollard, RB. Memphis.
5.158 Michael Jackson, CB. Miami (FL).
5.165 Joe Jackson, DE. Miami (FL).
6.213 Donovan Wilson, S. Texas A&M.
6.218 Mike Weber, RB. Ohio State.
7.241 Jalen Jelks, DE. Oregon.

Fantasy:

2.58 Taylor Rapp, S. Washington.
3.90 Connor McGovern, G. Penn State.
4.128 Drue Tranquill, LB. Notre Dame.
5.158 Michael Jackson, CB. Miami (FL).
5.165 Kelvin Harmon, WR. N.C. State.
6.213 Darwin Thompson, RB. Utah State.
6.218 Mike Weber, RB. Ohio State.
7.241 Cortez Broughton, DT. Cincinnati.

Tbh, that little exercise has allowed the Cowboys Draft Class to grow on me a little. I'm not very high on (don't know much about) the Donovan Wilson and Jalen Jelks picks, but the rest I can see the idea behind what they did.

Getting Mike Weber so late makes RB a tough one to judge. I really liked Justice Hill at 3.90, but Darwin Thompson 123 picks later is a reasonable 'Plan B'.

5.165 was the other tricky one in terms of whether to stick or twist, but Kelvin Harmon probably has a good shot at 'WR4' on the Cowboys roster in the long run.

See what happens when you get into a bidding war for a decent QB (even if he's 'damaged goods').

thats the issue though clearly Dave didnt rate Rosen at all, i heard he would only go to #95, he liked Jones that much better, i really dont know why.

from the start i said i would give up #37 for him (i had hoped to get him cheaper when the market was seen as soft) and thats a much better pick than the one they got for him.

the Phins pulled off a great move to net him and another 2nd.
