Apparently they never showed the second replay in the stadium which showed it was a goal. According to Pat Nevin anyway.

If you use a Kindle, Amazon have got a fair few football books on offer.

I'd recommend John Foot's Calcio; A History of Italian football at £2.49 or Jonathan Wilson's Inverting the Pyramid for £1.99

Tipped Argentina to win the WC. Not overly impressed so far, despite the scoreline...

We need to play him in the middle, up top, and stop him being this 'workhorse' figure running back into midfield. Only then will he have no excuses for a bad performance.

Uruguay aren't a great team outside the forward line, we knew that before yesterday. I think the line-up was right but we should be sticking our pacy forwards/attacking mids out wide and attack with pace from those flanks. Sticking Rooney out there does no-one any favours.
Uruguay were awful from set pieces yesterday. I'd go nuts, Henderson out for Jones, Sterling out for Lamps. Lampard and Gerrard at the sides of the diamond, Rooney at the head. Classic diamond, let the full backs run wild and cross the ball into our big men. If in doubt we can always lump it up since that makes things more fun.

Or maybe a 352. Jones, Jags and Cahill in defence, Johnson and Baines are wing backs anyway. Gerrard, Lamps, Barkley or maybe Sterling, Rooneh and Sturridge.

You can't play Lampard and Gerrard on the same team. One would put their hip out and the other would get distracted telling someone in the crowd about 'the good ol days'.

Worst game of the tournament so far. Argentina look incredibly average. Messi looks woeful.

Messi lethargic, glacial, lateral. Nothing like two seasons ago.

Argies look boring. Oddly vacant midfield.
