Better than Rex turning us into Jets 2.0....

I don't know enough about the guy to know whether it's a good choice. But the Panthers are a well run franchise and he wouldn't have worked all the way up from the bottom if he didn't have something about him

Blaine Gabbert signs a one year deal with the Cardinals. I guess that means we have hit rock bottom in terms of barrel-scraping for news.

so the patriots used some rule to tender a contract to Blount that guarantee's him a 10% rise on his 2016 salary but somehow means anyteam signing him now would have him count against there 2018 compensation picks even though the window officially closes on the 2nd tuesday after the draft.if Blount doesn't sign with any team before July 22nd then he cant sign with any team but the Patriots till after week 10.dont know why this rule exsists but seems to give the Patriots some free injury protection.

No surprise the Pats are the ones to a) know this tender actually exists, and b) use it to their advantage.

the patriots seem stacked at runningback so not sure why they would do this, reports that 2 teams where waiting to offer Blount a deal but there are only 32 compensation picks in the draft and according to over the cap Blount signing a veteran type contract wouldn't really help get another pick.must be something else that hopefully the Pats cap guy on twitter can explain.
