Default The 2014 New England Patriots Season Thread

Well, who stays, who goes, who do we get in.

Hopefully we don't have 30% of the Cap on IR this time next year.

The annoying thing is Tom took a restructured deal and has no one to throw it to. I know the young guys are only young but looking at the broncos sets the negativity off. Without gronk we have no size match ups. I'm hoping that we can sign Nicks on a cheap ish deal and give him some outside support

Think we need to have a look at the offensive line, far too often Brady was sacked and hurried this year. Interior O-line a must for me this offseason.

And then we need weapons on offence. It's plain as day really. It's a miracle we've made the AFC title game with basically only Edelman to throw too!

A pass rusher opposite Jones would be good. I like Ninko, but for me we need an upgrade there, he doesn't put it in consistant enough

Spikes goes.
Wendell goes.
Ridley traded.
Connolly released (cap).
Kelly retires.

Talib signed for 3 years.
Edelman signed longterm. Houston will want him though, you watch.
Fletcher back.
Hooman back.
Blount signed longterm.

Vince Wilfork, Logan Mankins, and Isaac Sopoaga all restructure to open up space. Vince already said he would. Mankins' play should force that hand.Isaac could get cut too if he doesn't. Extend McCourty too.

Get a FA guard, draft a mid-round centre, maybe a late round OT too. ZERO interest in Nicks. But if a true #1 falls, we have to get him.

Trade Mallett to the Browns for Gordon (one can hope), I would've said do similar to the Jags for Blackmon but we all know what happened to him this season.

Andre Carter has said he'll play next year if Belichick wants him, but he won't play anywhere else

0% chance! Nice thought though

I'd give Mallet and a first for either one though. Except for the off-field stuff...both one infraction from career-over IMO

Surprised by that. I'd take him for depth. He's near the end, but he's not terrible and can keep Jones fresh.

Yeah he would be good to have round the locker room at worst, still contributes nicely on occasions.

Blount has also said he'd like to return. Would be great if we could tie him up cheap. I feel if you get one of him or Talib to sign, the other will swiftly follow
