Easily the best performance of the year for the Pats - brilliant coaching, exceptional execution and an easy win against a good Chargers side.

As Richard points out - we adapted well to that first Chargers drive where we got caught in zone on the TD, switched to man to man and blitzed the heck out of a poor OL - Rivers took a beating.

Richard also right to point out Trent Brown and the OL - another example of how Belichick is just smarter than others, he’s been as good as if not better than Solder was last year for simply moving back a few spots in the draft.

It should be noted however that there has been a real split between the Pats at home and on the road this year - they’ve played poorly on the road bar the odd game, so will need to reverse that in KC next week

it doesnt mean it isnt true though, they were badly coached and had executed poorly but in terms of the there talent spread they had the players to succeed.

easier said than done.even yesterday with Chargers having extra CB on the field instead of LB he still beat the coverage.

White was on the field for 38 snaps yesterday,16 catches 0 runs.

maybe that's the reason the Patriots are boringly in the Championship game most years as they don't have a scheme that they live or die by,people saying the Chargers should just go man coverage mid-game when there scheme is bring 4 drop 7 and hope your stud ends get pressure would have probably ended up been even more ugly.

also it was pointed out that the Chargers had the same problems as last week with missing LB's so went with more CB's near the line and unlike the Ravens who tried to spread that defence out the Pats went with there big bodies and just over powered them.

also maybe didn't matter but on the 1st Pats TD they only had 10 men on the field, the 11th guy ran off pre-snap but no one noticed and called a TO.
