I did give the fantasy tour thing a look but decided against it. I don't really have the time to do it. (I know it doesn't take much but GLB is taking up a large part of my spare time right now ).
Also, when I used to do with the fantasy football stuff, you end up worring more about "your players" than actually watching the event as a spectacle. Maybe I am just a boring old fart....

See that Eurosport are showing the team presentation from 5.15 tonight and the first 2 stages on Saturday and Sunday completely. Maybe they are finally getting the message that people arent going to put up with the cycling being a 2nd rate citizen when it comes to their tv coverage!?

Heres a nice little article from the Guardian today - all very gentile and relaxing, sounds just my kind of riding!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/200...s.tourdefrance

Heres the map of this years route too, great to see theyve done away with the prologue and TTT. 2 of my least fav stages it has to be said.
Would have been so easy to go over to see the first 3 stages this year - why didnt I do it?! ??? :

I'll be tuning in...
Just found out that one of my friends is off to ride the Etape de Tour this weekend!
155km? going over the Tourmalet and then finishing at the top of Hautacam. Love to do something like that but just not fit enough any more....

Someone from my cricket club I believe is going over to do some sort mimic of a few Tour stages this year for club riders, can't remember whether he was planning it this year or next year. Would this be along those lines?

Cool.

I've never learned to ride a bike but love watching the tour, I drove my flatmates barmy last year watching the highlights every night on ITV4. They've moved out now so I won't get any agro for it this year.

Maybe you should invest in one of these Stockers and get out there and enjoy the road!
