True your TE is better than ours, but Williams is evry bit the playmaker as Moss. I would say at the moment your O is better than ours cause a Culpepper myself.

Anyway, I didn't realise that you guys got a new owner. I would imagine that with the movement that should be made, you got a good chance a being in Detroit next year. Wouldn't it be funny if the new owner was/is a Cards fan being from Arizona and all
hehehehe..I can appreciate the irony in that ;D

Williams vs Moss: erm....at the moment a healthy Moss would blow Williams off the field..and then we also have decent depth at WR as well.

RBs?????Our problem is that we have TOO MANY good RB's..thats why trading Bennett will add more stability..remember before Bennett and Smith came back from injury/suspension, our 4th stringer Moore was a contender for some for rookie of the year

KJ >>>>>>>> any Vikings RB
strange..coz despite us abandoning our running game for much of the season, we still ran for more yardage,at a much higher average per run, with a totally knackered in OL
Yes, but given the fact that our passing game wouldn't even scare the Chiltern Cheetahs, many teams D were set to nullify our ground threat. And let's not forget that Loverne is probably the weakest starting guard in the NFC.

Furthermore, the stats for the whole season are irrelivant. KJ only got the ball from half-way through the season. Upto that point, he barely got a carry...

well considering you guys were behind most of the time..teams tend to allow clock burning rushing to occur, bumping up the figures a tad,

How many of these threads are you Lions fans going to attempt? This is the third one, at least, you've tried over the past year!
God bless your little hearts!

Hey us Lions fan got pride goddammit... Although I'm not too sure were it comes from, but we'll keep on trying.

Anyway there only about 3 lions fans in the country. If we don't make the noise who will. Bring on next season.

And Kevin Jones is better than any current Vikes back Roar

Sounds good on paper, but isn't it essentially the same team as last season? Sorry, haven't seen anything of the Lions at all.

The Lions record would likely improve by 3 or 4 wins if they get back the people they've lost to injury over the past year. Charles Rogers was projected as a future pro-bowler and he played only in the first 3 offensive plays last year before going out to injury. Boss Baily, our best linebacker was lost in the preseason due to a knee operation.

We had a great many injuries that hampered us all season. There may have only been a few teams with worse injury situations in the whole league (Chicago and Tennessee come to mind).

Even our playmakers from last year (Roy Williams and Kevin Jones) were hobbled for half of the year.

I think the Lions just need a healthy dose of luck to keep more of thier stars on the field

If I may humbly interject, you might want to consider the Lions 2nd half totals. Kevin Jones was injured early in the year and wasn't healthy until mid season. I believe he was the rushing leader for the NFC for the 2nd half of the year.

I'd agree that Moss is still superior to Roy as Moss is more well established, but I wouldn't go so far as to say 'blow him away'

The NFC North should be a very competitive division next year (at least with respect to one another).

Yeah, I'm rather enthused about this Lions thread. Nobody would have the stones to post such a bold statement in any of the American forums I frequent

There really is something to other fan bases not taking the Lions seriously simply because we are the Lions. It's been that way ever since I became a Lions fan.
