Default Chargers Expectations

Hi,

Just recently joined the site and very excited for the new season. Looking forward to watching the Chargers against the Texans on Eurosport.

What are your expectations for the season?

Yeh I probably agree with that. Hopefully we can do the double against both the Chiefs and Raiders again.

Around 7-9, plus or minus 2 games depending on how many injuries we get. Have said before I'll be content with playing without the old Norvisms even if it means losing quite a few games - that's progress to me.

Im looking for improvement on the field

The schedule is tougher this year so I dont think its as simple as saying if we fail to match or better the 7-9 of last year then we've gone backward.

Im looking for an offence more suited to the players we have, an improvement on defence and us competing in games. Sure injuries may effect that statement but we'll ahve to see how things pan out.

I can accept 10 defeats if say 8 are by a score because it means we're improving and we're close. Another offseason under Telesco and maybe we can dream of wildcards.

I'd settle for a return to the Marty days of beating who we're expected to beat, and giving the odd better team a surprise kicking. Sick of watching us throw away games and lose to utter tripe over the last six years.

I expect us to finish around 8-8 (maybe more hope than expectation though!).

Looking for greater balance on offence and seeing an improved (or indeed any sort of) running game behind Fluker. Hopefully better protection for Rivers will show that he hasn't lost it completely.

On the D looking forward to seeing Reyes/Liuget/Butler continue to progress. Expect the D to keep us in a few games this season.

Above all just looking forward to seeing the Bolts back on the field...

This is pretty much exactly how I would have sumed up the coming season, not really expecting much other than an improvement.
I dont think a wild card berth is even a remtote possibility for any team in the afc west and I think we all know whos coming 1st......and last
