Delighted by this and already planning my trip to London.

I've been saving the Wembley game for when the Lions come over... (also will be my firs time visiting the stadium so double woo!)

I would love to know who your contacts are - I can confirm to y'all that a fair few Lions fans will make the jaunt across the pond including personal friends of mine I have made on my trips to Detroit/USA.

I don't have any contacts in NFLUK (London offices) which is a shame but think if you contact them as the official Chairman/creator of the unofficial UK Lions fan club 'BORN FREE' perhaps there's a way they can with TicketMasters help give you a code that could be used to book tickets to make sure all Born Free Lions fans are seated together - not only this think it would be good if they could give us a block next to the US Lions fans allocation - so adjoining the tickets they are sending over there.

Moving on I wonder if Zak will make the trip over - I was so bummed I didn't make the meal you did out with him and would love to put that right. Speaking of ex players am intouch with a few via social media and so will see if can cajoul any to (if their coming over for the game) to go for a meal or socialise in some way with us/Born Free members.

I think it would be good if we could socialise with Lions fans making the trip over and build ties - I know for sure 3 of the Lions hardcore faithfull will be making the trip - The Rev, Crackman and Yooperman. Crack is so recognised he is in the H.O.F. @ Canton, Ohio as the Lions most dedicated fan.

I will actually try and do you an article on these guys and the history of the Lions hardcore fans for a newsletter (if your doing one) before the game itself to give you an idea about these guys and how I met each of them.

I would love to try and arrange a meal out with them and born free members. They wanted me to organise a tailgate but am hoping the official pre-game one will survice (is it any good - never been to one - anyone?).

This news has got me so stoked it's 4am and I can't sleep so am going to look at doing an article for a forth coming Born Free newsletter in the hope that I am not the only one that's had their fire lit with this announcement and your be able to get enough content and somehow can find the time to produce another fabulous 'Born Free' newsletter like you've done in the past to celebrate this news. I still have all the ones from the past and think I will go re-read each of them.

Woo Hooo

Lastly if you want the whispers I have heard - like I heard about this match then what I have heard is the plan is 3 games to be had one in Sep one in Oct and one Nov between weeks 3-11 (so teams can have there BYE the following week) and one of the games will indeed be an afternoon game our time and broadcast AM in USA but they are looking at best times and to see if people would tune in so early. Think they want to do this with one game to test the water TV wise back home - knowing it will go down well here for those that travel from a far to have more time to get home on the day as opposed to hotels. Again this is all just whispers so like I said before on the game news don't quote me when it's wrong (as the powers that be decide to go in a different direction).

Have to agree with what Bluelionman has stated above. This news would be worthy of a Newsletter,The fact that Bluelionman also wants to put on record how he met some of the diehard Lions fans on this planet would be enjoyable to digest over a morning Coffee .

I also have to say Willy, like Bluelionman I read the old copies that you produced and enjoy them just as much as when I first read them.

We also have some new members and I'm sure we will add to the Born Free subscription list as this gathers pace in the coming months.

Love the idea of us all in one spot close to the Lions fans coming from the States, gives us an opportunity to open our lungs in the cause of the Lions within a larger Pride and there for louder

So will it be £30 seats or £180??? I have a feeling there will be a big response to "3" game season tickets" which would reduce the amount of 1 game only tickets available. Some (myself inc) have sources in Detroit so it could be worth trying to purchase tickets from Detroit rather than sitting in front of a PC waiting for ticketmaster to crash.

See what I can do on the Newsletter front

There are reasons I have not been able to devote the time required to produce them which I will explain when the next issue does get released. It is also true to say that it has been a long time since I've received any contributions for it too and so would refer those of you who have been missing it back to my original thoughts on the front page of Issue One

As well as not having time to produce a newsletter I've also not had time to send new members cards or even check the fan club e-mail for membership requests. I anticipate there will be a few that are patiently awaiting a response and if they are reading these forum pages hope they'll bare with me a little longer. Likewise the Atlantic Roar Twitter feed has been largely unused. I'll do my best to get things up to speed as the team enjoys its Bye Week so for those that are considering sending in contributions the sooner the better if you please.

I've not heard back from the team yet but will keep contacting them in the hope of being able to try and get opportunities for fans to meet the team and also for those of us outside the US to be able to be in a dedicated seating section, hopefully with fans from the US. I've already been fielding plenty of enquiries from both sides of the Atlantic in terms of making the event much more than a gameday experience. Obviously until we get a date it's a bit difficult to make definite plans but I am hoping that we can put together some sort of recommended hotel/schedule of events/gameday option for those that want it. Given our resources and in the interests of keeping costs at a minimum I doubt this will be anything other than a suggested option for those that would be interested. However if we get the backing of the team then this may well upgrade itself into something much more professional

With Dallas and Detroit both coming to London next year, I think the game today is a gift for C4 next weekend. Should also add a few more applications for Willy to administer.
(BTW I'm still trying to overcome my hyperventilation)

I can't wait! Was great rocking Honolulu Blue around Wembley yesterday and seeing lots of other fans as well! Will be even better seeing the Lions next year!

Am keen to get involved with the Born Free fan club, I have sent a application request but I understand you're rather busy! If you ever need any help with the running of the website/blog or say, setting up a facebook page/twitter account as an easier way for people to follow Born Free, let me know!

Genuinely cant wait for this game! As soon as the dates are announced i'll be booking a hotel.

I've looked into a UK Lions fans club/regular fan site etc but never found much but I'll definitely get involved with the Born Free club. Just send an email over is it?

Any idea when the date will be announced? I'm planning my first ever trip to the states for september next year and would hate to be in Detroit whilst the Lions are in London or on a bye!

I believe it'll be announced ahead of the full 2014 season schedule info so unless you're planning to book your trip without knowing the 2014 schedule you should be ok Would think the weekends chosen this year will be replicated while the third one is anyone's guess but given that the IS teams normally have a Bye Week following I doubt they will choose to stage games in consecutive weeks (3 & 4 - Steelers @ Vikings Wk 4 this year) so your September window should be safe if you're planning the early part of the month rather than the later. My personal guess would be that they try to fit the third game in between the existing two rather than look to tack it on around mid November but that is pure guesswork on my part.
