Inter are such a strange club when it comes to building sides. It feels like they throw a fair bit of money around but there never seems to be a plan. They either spend poorly or buy players that don't really fit.

It'll be interesting to see if that changes under Marotta and Conte.
Inter are a shambles. As you say there is no plan and no real spine to an ever changing side

They are like a lot of Italian clubs who can't compete against the financial muscle of the PL, the big Spanish two & PSG and Bayern. They resort to overpaying for aging players causing an imbalance of players who shouldn't be starting for a club of Inter's stature

They need to look at clubs like Sevilla, Benfica & Porto who have scouting networks that put the Italian clubs to shame

It'll be interesting to see how Atalanta make out in the Champions League next season and what they do with their squad this summer in preparation for being in it.

Also see Milan are looking for a new manager as well.

I think Atalanta are going to lose more than they gain. At least one big name will move on, then it'll be down to their academy or shrewd transfer business to replace them.

I'd guess the big boost will be to their stadium plans.

Hopefully, as long as they don't do a Schalke it'll be good.

.
Udinese were a similar sized club that overachieved reaching the CL but failed to get into the competition proper after being unluckily drawn to Arsenal. Atalanta had a great run edging out a number of the bigger city clubs, but will do well to make any type of impact. For a club their size, its accumulating the CL money to strengthen the infrastructure of the club

So are AC and Inter both moving to the new stadium?

I'm sure at one point it was AC who were pushing to build a new stadium of their own and leave Inter at the San Siro.

A shame that such an iconic stadium will be demolished though. Hopefully the new stadium has some kind of 'tribute' to it's predecessors iconic look.

Jasper Cillessen moves from Barca to Valencia for £31m.

Sat on the bench for 3 years and doubled in price.

Convinced teams help out 'bigger teams' in terms of FFP from time to time in exchange for improved relations down the line i. e. Loans, transfer of young players etc.

but then Barca buy Neto up to £30m so it balances out but it probably allows Barca to cover there short fall in accounts and meet the FFP requirements.
