Can't remember the last time the Bengals did anything clever or innovative on Draft Day. So I reckon No

Fairley every day of the week. My board for the Bengals goes:

1, Fairley
2, Bowers
3, Quinn
4, Trade Down
5, No, seriously, trade the hell down.

Well we already know option 4 and 5 are out of the equation

True. It's a shame, as if those three went 1, 2 and 3, PP7 would be on the board, we could send a good deal to the Texans and pick up a guy like Cameron Jordan at 11.

No chance of them going 1, 2 and 3 though, so we'd get a shot at Quinn at the least. I'd expect one of Fairley or Bowers to be there though, as Darreus seem to be picking up momentum (for some reason) and Newton is a lock for top 3, with Gabbert possibly going as well (again, for some reason).

Anyone else worried we might take a Corner with the 4th pick?

I very much hope not. Certainly not Amukamara. Peterson would be a little different, as he would be worth the pick, but not Amukamara.

I was worried about that before the Palmer situation came up. Now I would have no problem taking Peterson as long as it was at the expense of a QB. The QB's scare me. Mallett may be worth a gamble in the 2nd round.

I would still prefer Dareus or Fairley over any of them. A real disruptive force at DT would put our D in the top ten again.

It is speculated that Robert Quinn could rise up the board.

Carson has really messed us around here so we might have no choice but to take a QB at 4. (Probably Newton)

Saying that I would be quite pleased if we picked up Fairley at pick 4 and grabbed Mallet in the second round or even Dalton in a later round.

If we go for a rookie QB we will almost certainly need to sign a free-agent QB until the rookie beds in.

A CB is a silly pick for us at 4. With Hall and Joseph a cornerback would not be a wise pick so high up.

I am not saying CB is a good pick. I just would prefer Peterson to any of the QB's at 4.

They would be crazy to invest a 1st round pick in a QB with the Plamer situation up in the air.
