Default RedZone to air on Sky Sports red button this Sunday

As a one-off for this Wembley game RedZone will appear on the red button on Sky Sports this Sunday during both the 6pm and 9:25pm games.

Good stuff, thanks

What does it mean by one-off though? Will they go back to not showing Redzone during next seasons Wembley games?

I'm guessing Sky really think the Jags-Cowboys game will pull in terrible figures (not sure I blame them...)

From Digital Spy forums on the reason Sky don't normally show Red Zone...

'For the 1pm and 4:25pm ET time slots the NFL sell two sets of rights in the UK for each game; Sky have secondary rights (which they use for Redzone) but they DONT have them during the London games as Ch4 are the secondary rights holders.'

Not sure what the new deal that kicks in next year will mean though some have said it specifically states Sky showing RedZone.

Sadly true, But I guess if we had a permanent application of common sense the world would just become tediously logical

I quite like the no redzone rule for the Wembley games. It makes them feel unique and more special. The moaning minnies on here will no doubt be delighted though.
