Yeah, cutting Stewart will cost us approximately $18m against the cap next season in dead money, and we would need another running back. If we keep him, his cap hit is $5.4m and we have him on the roster (though probably injured )

Hardy could do a heavily backloaded deal if needed, or transfer some cap hit into other avenues. Just depends how willing he is to work with us and stay around or just get paid asap

Really hope there is good news in the next few days with Greg getting signed up.

Kalil and J Stewart restructure their contracts, we are now a lot further under the cap than we were. Thomas Davis has also helped us with some cap room, so a lot more positive for Hardy

Tagged him then. Was always going to happen once we cleared the room. Simply can't afford to let him leave for nothing.

Best move, I'm still unsure about giving him a long-term contract. I'd say let him play on the tag for a year if his production level is the same then give him a long term deal.

I think Hardy's future will depend on what we can do with Charles Johnson. Johnson is a solid DE but his contract is going to become troublesome the further into it we get. Either this off-season or next off-season it may be possible that Johnson gets his contract reworked and we can offer Hardy something long term. That would be my guess anyway.
