Muhammad and Smith are both classy players. You do all remember this team went to the Superbowl right? Having two quality wideouts was a big part of that. Smith arguably made a bigger impact in the playoffs but Moose was right there as well. Didn't he score on the longest play from scrimmage in SB history??

Btw, I'm not sold on the idea that he'll be a bust in Chicago. Rex Grossman is basically an unknown quantity in the NFL - other than we know the guy has raw talent. If he's fit he and Muhammad can be a dangerous duo. And their defence is stacked with playmakers.

What's this 'Come back after you've watched more than one year of football' line?
Totally pathetic, and what we can do without!

he was still a big loss and although smith is good he wasnt on Mooses level
Come back after you've watched more than one year of football.

Steve Smith owns Moose who only performed in a contract year and will blow up in Chicago.

Panthers are a big threat to the Falcons only for the fact that they just cant find a way to beat Vick. Def a wildcard team coming from one fo those 2 this year, probably us with our horrible schedule.
temper! MPI Muhammad really showed his ability and i do wonder how youd rate the 2 if Moose was still there
No comparison, they were both there for a couple of years and Steve Smith put up the numbers - Moose did not.

He had a great year because he was the only place the ball could go -Smith was injured, Colbert was a rookie and the running was gone with Davis and Foster out. I think he's 32 now and doesn't have another year like that in him especially going to that Bears offense.
That's utter crap to be frank, utter crap! Moose has been a good receiver in this league for a long time and last year, was not his contract year! Your contract year is the final year of your contract, Moose still had time to run on his contract. Todd Heap has been the only target in the Ravens passing game for ages, but that doesn't mean his numbers are inflated, if anything they're deflated! He may never have another year like that, he could still be a damn good receiver in this league, but I just don't see the guy in Chicago or the draft to get him the ball.
My God you are naieve. That was his contract year whether he was signed for 10 million years or not. Everyone knew he was gone as they couldn't afford to pay his inflated bonus so if thats not a contract year then I dont know what is.

I argued that Smith was better than Moose - anybody want to even try and take that point on? He's a #2 going to try and re-establish himself as a #1 at 32 years of age, does anybody actually believe this is going to work in Chicago without a recognised QB?

It could well workout for Moose in Chicago as they were making progress with Rex Grossman as QB before he got injured. Bit surprised Moose went to Chicago I thought he'd fancy his chances in Philly as they were apparently after him.

Back to the Panthers anyway all I will say is that I think that Carolina will have my kiss of death as my choice as 'dark horse' for next season. They finished strongly last season have some great players back from injury and haven't done bad at all on the free agency market I particularly like the Ken Lucas pick up. They can definitely be contenders in my book but then again I said the same about the Dallas Cowboys before last season and look what happened to them.

They are far from dark horses and will be one of the favourites for the NFC along with Philly and Atlanta.
