At the home of the Giants rather than sharing Levi's. Wonder if the new stadium in Vegas will have a dirt infield too...

They still need the NFL's approval and the approval of the 49ers too, since it is their market. It would seem a bit late to leave this to the annual league owners' meeting (March 24-27) so you'd think they'll have to sort it sooner. I can't see why the 49ers would object though really - it won't damage their field, the 49ers themselves chose to move 40-odd miles out of San Francisco, and the Raiders need somewhere to go just for a year and then they're not even in the same state as the 49ers.

They want to, not will. All the teams need to agree. And there is every chance the 49ers will say no.

Can't see the 49ers having much of an argument. As much as they will claim SF is their market, Santa Clara is a lot further from the Bay area than where the Giants play. Seems like the Raiders and the NFL would prefer to keep them in the Bay area for their last season, and the 9ers would presumably be less than willing to share their own stadium.

bits from the NFL Insiders yesterday saying opening night could be Packer/Bears to kick of the NFL's 100th season.

they where also hinting at Rams/Saints Patriots/Chiefs been on opening weekend but as Peter King points out why waste such a big game when you need these for later in the season.

the Eagles have 1 week to decide on triggering Fole's option and if they do Fole's then has 1 week to decide if he will opt-out so this may be the 1st off-season domino.

Sounds like it, unless something unexpected crops up.
