Default Little Help London

Hi all.
I am from Ireland and am landing in Gatwick. We're staying in Ruislip Middlesex. I want to know the quickest, cheapest and easiest way to get from one to the other. Also, once I arrive in Ruislip, what is the easiest way to get to Wembley?
So, questions:
Can I get from Gatwick to Ruislip direct by train??
Or do I need to go into Victoria? If so, does the Tube go as far as Ruislip?
I am online now trying to find all this out myself, but if anyone from London or Middlesex can help, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks chaps.

P.S
Please no jokes about me staying so far from London and Wembley, the Hotel looked smashing!

Thanks Carps. We are 20mins from Heathrow and not far from Wembley, so very happy overall. I see your from the area. We're staying in The Barn, it looked very nice online. Is it a good spot? What would you recommend we should see or do whilst in your town?

Ya, we're going to check in Saturday, then hit London. But we'll go for a pint or two when we return to Ruislip that night. Then of course Sunday we'll be kind of busy!! Thanks again for the info buddy. I owe you a pint!

Ruislip is where the London GAA team play that's pretty much all I know about the area. After that, the overground, Underground and buses will probably sort you out, I got day passes that covered certain zones and you can get them on the day just talk to the person at the desk about where you're going (Wembley station obviously)
