Green Bay to win.

Went through all 17 weeks predicting each game winner to get all the standings (al had to sort out a few tie breakers for the seedings). I’m surprised at how few wins I have given Detroit and Baltimore but that’s how it worked out.

Wow.

1. Don't see anyone waltzing away with that division by 3 games this season. GB don't have enough all round to do that. Lions are worth at least 6 wins, minimum.

2. Same again. Don't see any team winning out the NFC East by 2 clear games, and certainly not the Eagles even with change afoot.

3. Can't see the Saints bouncing back to win the division just because the coach is back. That defence still has holes. Big ones. The addition of Jackson in Atlanta makes them favourite for the division and a play-off run.

4. No way, no way the West is won by a 13-3 record. And the Seahawks with 5 games at 10am Pacific time on the road get to 13-3? Not a chance. 11-5 to win that division I think. Rams have 8 wins in them.

5. Not sure what the reasoning is here. 12-4 for Cincy with their schedule? Not for me. Don't see the Steelers winning 11 either. Baltimore should win more than 7.

6. New England won't lose 7 games. Not with their slate. Bills at 13-3? Sorry, 4 games out at least there. 7-9, 8-8 maybe.

7. Indy 13-3? Too many teams with tape now. Could be close with the Texans, but not win the division with 13 wins and 2 games clear.

8. Broncos won't win 13 games this year. Too many questions on defence/injuries/suspensions early on. Chiefs are better than 6 wins. 11-5 Denver, 9-7 Chiefs.

Agreed.

When is the last time two teams from the same division went 13-3?

13-3 teams are usually paired with 10-6 teams at best in a really strong top-tier division. To go 13-3, you usually need to play in a crummy division where everyone else is 9-7 or 8-8.

12-4 apiece is plausible. But only losing 3 games? And they play each other twice? That doesn't make much sense.

Of the 2012 NFC 'contenders', I felt Green Bay needed the most work to step up in 2013.

I'm not sure they've done enough to even hold ground, let alone mount a championship challenge.
