The deal that is on the cards for the Chargers is significantly better than the current one in Oakland but a big chunk of that came from the selling of Qualcomm Stadium. That is not on the cards for the Raiders.

It's also the case that the Chargers have a lot of history, so the decision to put money in has emotional as well as practical* basis. It would not be surprising if a new team would see a tightening of the deal than a relaxing that would/may be necessary for the Raiders.

Taking this into consideration, I would think that there is more chance of one of the two top 25 media market cities (Portland and Sacramento) or a city actively looking for a team (San Antonio, possibly Oklahoma although interest there seems to have faded) than San Diego taking on a new team.

*Practical only in the sense of the current climate of NFL stadiums. How stadiums are funded in the US is another discussion.
I would agree, San Diego have been incredibly reluctant to do anything with the Chargers so it may take a while for another NFL team to return there if the Chargers were to leave. This is on top of the fact that LA supposedly currently generates 25% of the teams which wouldn't be there if other teams were in LA.

Finding temporary venues in LA is proving more difficult than first thought.

No mention of the LA Coliseum in the article. Has that been ruled out?

No the Collesium have put a bid in, no one else has, and the Rose Bowl have completely ruled themselves out.

2) The issue of two stadiums has been much discussed in local LA papers (don't you love the internet) and police officials have already stated that they may not agree to this. They did the same when the Clippers wanted their own home outside of the Staples Center which closed down that idea.
new york rangers, new york islanders, adn the new jersey devils are divisional rivals.

brooklyn nets and new york knicks.

it only occurs when a league has a east and west conference

Another good article on why the Chargers and Raiders may get the nod over the Rams in the race to move to LA.

From what I've read the Chargers and Raiders is a joint bid.

Still think it will be the Rams if anyone. They already have a fork in the ground. The Chargers and Raiders just have fancy computer graphics.

Although not as far as the Rams proposal the Carson proposal has got a bit more than just fancy photoshop work.
