Steelers' 2,116 total yards over the past 4 games are second only to 1982 "Air Coryell" Chargers for most ever in a 4-game span

Russell Wilson has passed Jim Zorn as the Seahawks third winningest QB in history.

Wilson already owns the Seahawks records for the most wins in post-season history (6, one more than Matt Hasselbeck)

Extrapolate Fouts' 1982 season to 16 games and his numbers would have been utterly ridiculous, even by today's standards.

Someone needs to convert these stats and maybe Marino's mid 80's seasons into todays offence friendly/defence cant even look at a reciever downfield without a flag.

I'm not a fan of the quarterback wins stat. It's very Peter King/modern fetishisation of the quarterback (stolen phrase from Dan Louw on Americarnage). It's still a team sport but there's a real drive by a lot of the media to turn it into an individual sport with a support cast of 45 players that don't really matter. It's the easiest way to write about the NFL I guess. There's nothing worse than that wins stat that pits QBs against each other like Manning v Brady. Utterly pointless. There was one going around last year about Wilson beating all the Super Bowl winning QBs. Nevermind the defense kept the opponents to an average of around 15 points and gave the Seahawks great field position time and again. It is of course all about the quarterback.

As a one off stat I don't mind it, like you might seen in football where a team wins more when a certain strike starts. But the way it's been used this year like a legitimate stat that almost ranks alongside overall team record is ridiculous.

The Arizona Cardinals are 1-3 on Thursday night football, but have never won on a Thursday night.

As much as I agree with your overall point, Wilson's run with the Seahawks is massively impressive and (in my opinion) takes him above Zorn in the pantheon of Seahawks QB.

Zorn had 40 wins in 130 starts for the Seahawks. Wilson has 42 wins in 68. Wilson is just shy of 13,000 passing yards with Doug Baldwin as his lead receiver. Zorn had just over 20,000 in his career but had the great Steve Largent to throw to (in a team that was surprisingly pass happy for the time period).
