Lightbulb List of questions to put to Game Pass, NFLUK, the NFL or Trading Standards

OK look,

Before anyone gets annoyed at what must be the 10th Game Pass thread and how stupidly fragmented the discussion is, what I am doing here is trying to resolve this (albeit with a paradoxical additional thread). There are so many questions in so many threads, some of which have been answered, some of which have not. On this thread I will create a list of open questions regarding the NFL Game Pass new product.

I would encourage anyone to ask additional questions, point to where questions have been answered in other threads and I will maintain this original post with a list of questions and if there are any, answers.

I also think it is a good idea for any members who are willing to contact Game Pass Support via ticket and attempt to get an answer to one question only or even part of a question as saying too much at once confuses them.

I will uniquely number all questions and in parenthesis will place the name of nay member who is currently trying to get an answer to that issue.

Questions will be focused on what will be, rather than historic failures (unless those failures are still relevant).

Some of the questions will have been answered, if they have then please reply, linking an official response from Twitter, forum support account, email etc.

I am not trying to force myself into some kind of moderation role, and if this idea is simply not popular then fine. But currently nobody is consolidating this (except for billing) and as the forum moderators have correctly pointed out they are simply users with site permissions to delete spam, remove racist or abusive comments etc, they are not discussion chairpersons.

Q001: (Anotherbadger): Where is the check box in the account management page which can be un-ticked in order to disable auto-renew.
https://twitter.com/NFLGamePassEU/st...93402049933313

Q002: What is being done to address the problem some users had where they were billed in Euros and therefore paid more than the advertised price, or any of the other various billing issues.

Answer: There is a seperate thread for this and all billing issues should be directed to it. https://forum.nfluk.com/showthread.php?t=111024

Q003: Will forward and back controls, such as the +/- 10 second buttons which were available in the old player be available? If so when?
Currently on iOS App there is only a rewind button. On the Diva Player (the web based client) there are such controls.

Q004: Will adverts be completely removed from full length games after the broadcast? By fully removed we mean such that playback skips directly from when the commercial break started, to when it ends. We do not mean that adverts are replaced by a "We will return shortly" screen.
Currently this has not been done for the Hall of Fame Game (which I would assume would be the first to be done)

Q005: What is the exact specification of the broadcast picture quality assuming the end user can stream using the maximum bandwidth which you provide?
Best so far is from unofficial packet sniffing here. https://forum.nfluk.com/showpost.php?...3&postcount=11

Q006: Will 2 way and 4 way split screen be available? If so, when?
Answer: Yes, by the start of the season (thanks King Arthur). https://twitter.com/NFLGamePassEU/st...83202402734080. Checking that this will work when casting

Q007: Will all of the archives available on the previous app, with games going back to 2009 made available along with other previously archived content? If so, when?
They are currently "working" on getting "all content" uploaded. This is very vague. https://forum.nfluk.com/showpost.php?...postcount=9549

Q006: When will downloadable games be available for iOS?
Answer: Next week (from 4th August 2017). https://twitter.com/NFLGamePassEU/st...97922700148737

Q007: When will the PS4 app be made available.

Q008: Will the PS4 app include all of the features available on the Android and iOS platforms.

Q009: Will the "All 22" be available? If so, when?
Unconfirmed: Days rather than weeks/months https://forum.nfluk.com/showpost.php?...4&postcount=36

Q010: Will Chromecast support be available on iOS?
Answer: As of the most recent update it already is.

Q012: Will Chromecast support be available on Android?
Answer: It already is.

Q013: Will Game Pass be available on Amazon Fire? If so, when?

Q014: Will controls such as +/- 10 seconds be available when casting to Chromecast?
Currently they are not on iOS

Q015: Will there be control over the maximum broadcast bandwidth such that users on small devices can stream without needless data usage?

Q016: Will live playoff games be available?

Q017: Where can we see in advance, a list of any games (if any) which will be blacked out in the UK.

Q018: Which versions of Apple TV will be supported.
iOS app - You can airplay to 3rd Gen Apple TV and newer.
iOS Safari browser - As above.
Apple TV3 - Old Game Pass app no longer works. No new app will be developed due to Apple restrictions.
Apple TV4 - New app was available as of August 1st I believe.
https://twitter.com/NFLGamePassEU/st...66584437657600

Q019: Will radio broadcasts be available?
No https://twitter.com/NFLGamePassEU/st...97642735489024

Q020: Will there be any Smart TV apps?
Answer: LG and Sumsung "During the season". https://twitter.com/NFLGamePassEU/st...59643752181760

Q021: Will there be an Android TV App?
Answer: No. https://twitter.com/NFLGamePassEU/st...07517275394048

Q022: How do you delete downloaded games on the Android app?

Q023: Can downloaded games on the Android app be moved/directed to external storage?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have gone through as much as I can for now. If anyone has any sugestions of answers please include links and the question number. If anyone has any new questions I can add them.

Whilst I agree that there is probably a need for more than one thread with the ongoing issues with GP, ie one for billing another for service issues, another for just general chat about the product, I'm struggling to see the need for a questions thread, when one already exists and was actually created by a site admin.

Sigh, how did I miss all that amongst all the threads. Thank you for pointing that out, although I suggest it be updated.

I have replied to the other FAQ. Many of the questions are vague and the answers more so.

For example Apple TV looks to work only for 4th gen, which from the other FAW simply answering "yes" would lead to confusion.

The question in the other thread was referring to airplay. Which will work on older apple tv. Just don't want that to be confused with a native app only working on the newer Apple TV.

I have asked in other threads but nobody has said anything as far as i can tell. So if it hasn't already been answered. How do we delete the downloaded games and/or how to do direct the downloaded games to SD card storage not local storage?

So does this mean that using the web browser you can cast to Apple TV 3rd gen using Airplay, but not using the native app? I do not have Apple TV of any kind myself so do not fully understand their terminology.

Aye can be a little confusing.

iOS app - You can airplay to 3rd Gen Apple TV and newer.
iOS Safari browser - As above.
Apple TV3 - Old Game Pass app no longer works. No new app will be developed due to Apple restrictions.
Apple TV4 - New app was available as of August 1st I believe.

From a desktop web browser you cannot cast/airplay game pass to Apple TV. However, if you have a Mac you can airplay your whole desktop and have it play on the TV that way (this isn't as smooth as the other options above).

Hopefully this explains it all a bit better.
