I suspected Watt might be one of them.

Yeah DL are hard to get points out of in fantasy, that's why I tried to set up the scoring system in a way that would make them a bit more relevant. Watt and Robert Quinn were by far the two best scoring linemen last year so I targeted one of them in the draft. I managed to get Quinn, so I was pleased with that.

I didn't think he would accept that tbh. Must love him some Watt

I didn't like my depth at WR and TE so that is sorted

For outsiders looking in, what was the trade?

Guys,

Been doing some deeper analysis on the scoring system for defensive players and I think going for 1.5pts per tackle instead of 1pt per tackle may have been a mistake. Here's why(see what you think)...................

I looked at the 25th ranked player from each fantasy position last season and how many points they scored(using the 1.5pts per tackle system). Here is what I found............

QB - 165pts
RB - 128pts
WR - 133pts
TE - 63pts
K - 108pts
DL - 100pts
LB - 175pts
DB - 152pts

Doesn't the linebacker score seem a little high? It does to me.

If the scoring system was altered to 1pt per tackle the results would come out as follows:

DL - 83pts
LB - 138pts
DB - 116pts

That would bring the linebacker scores into line with RB and WR scores without destroying the value of DBs. DL do drop down to under the 100pt mark but then that's true of TE's too.

I honestly think the 1.5pts per tackle system gives far too much weight to the linebackers and that reverting back to the 1pt per tackle system is the best way to go. I know it was me who suggested the 1.5pts per tackle thing in the first place but that was my mistake.

Anyway, I thought I would raise this now as there has only been 1 game played and it's not too late to change it if people agree with the numbers here.

What are people's thoughts on this?

If we are going to change it back we will need to do so before Sunday, it will be too late, and not fair, to change it after that point.
