Default Running Game

The league seems to be focused on a pass heavy attacking philosophy now, do you think the big bruising running back is now a thing of the past? The trend seems to be the smaller and slippery types like McCoy and Charles over the bruising types like Lacy.

Thread title amended. During the festivities last week Eric Dickerson commented that he was surprised just how big Jamaal Charles was.

There will always be room for the running game so that good teams have a mixed offense. NE showed in the play offs that when playing a team that defends the passing play that the run is still effective.

despite what people say, you don't win in the NFL by running the ball. you get the lead by passing, you keep it by running. it's been like this for sometime. balance is key, but passing remains key to winning in the NFL. the various studies done by football outsiders & PFF have pretty much nailed this.

Got a lot if love for forte and not just because of who he currently plays for. He really does do everything and more you would want from
A RB

However being the best for me has to be AP simply majestic when he wants to be

But a pass first team can be just as predictable and easy to beat as their run heavy compatriot.

Balance is always, always key.
