Yeah the Cup Winner's Cup used to mean something, but the UEFA is a waste of time unless you're a small club that has no shot at the Champions League.

What the hell is the point in the first round of the NBA playoffs when all but one matchup is a foregone conclusion? The sport is just so boring with you know who's gonna win at the start of the year (well one out of 2 or 3 at a stretch).

I will agree with that. They are thinking about changing the system. Also funny how dallas ended up with the second best record in the west but because Dever won there divison and get through better. Now Dallas can only get to the semi of the play offs to play spurs[to lose] and Denver can get to the final. It shows that the NFL has such a great system. The Draft is considered bigger in America then most of the playoffs because of the 7 games.

Lakers were robbed last night, kobe was smacked in the face when going for a shot and no foul was called > would have made it 99 - 101 with 17 secs left, instead nash got a foul and made it 99 - 103 :'(

Nets got unlucky. Kobe got smacked but I dont think it will have changed the outcome of the match. The Bucks just got destroyed. Redd only had something like 11 points!

STEVE NASH, 2006 MVP. WTF?

I think this is another stupid MVP decision. The award is losing any value it might have held. In my opinion, there were only two candidates, Kobe and LeBron. Replace Kobe or LeBron with an average player at their positions, and the Cavs and Lakers are not even close to playoff teams. Would the Suns make the playoffs without Nash? More than likely.

Shaq was robbed last year too. This year I wouldn't have minded if it had gone to either Kobe or LeBron. Nash? I think he was probably top 5, yeah. But not even close to the best.

In 10 years time, what will the 2006 season be remembered for? It'll be known as the year that Kobe Bryant dominated and single handedly dragged his crappy Lakers team into the playoffs. People will wonder how the hell Nash was even considered.

Seconded. Kobe basically WAS the Lakers this season. He single-handedly took them to the playoffs, and barring a dubious call, they would still be in contention to win it, but such is life.
