LOL @ Charles 'big ego' Insomnia.

Kevin Nolan's not a bad signing. Bit depth for Newcastle, who'll only survive due to the dross beneath them they can lie on to keep themselves afloat.

I'm not even sure they can rely on that to be honest, teams like Newcastle and Middlesbrough ARE that dross this season.

Arshavin has been granted his work permit.

Strange transfer this one, as I was under the impression you had to sign a contract before the permit application, I cant find any reports of Arshavin signing, just heard a fee had been agreed, and that the wages were still a sticking point.

Guess they must have got all that sorted, Excellent player, but is he what they need? Rosicky will be back soon, plus they have Nasri, Seems like too similar a kind of player.

Worried about reports of Ivanovic going to Fiorentina,Alex is useless, we should be crawling over broken glass to keep Branislav.

Very unimpressed by rumors of signing Marco Storari , who couldnt get a game as Milans #2, or Cant get a game in Florence either.
With Cudicini gone we need an established #2 type.

Possibly someone like Sebastian Viera from Villarreal, or Fabian Carini from Murcia. A pair of Uruguayns who would need no permits.
Or better still Sergio Asenjo from Valladolid, Although he is more of a #1, and looks like being Barcelonas #1 next season

Newcastle are like Sunderland and Bolton who can bob up above the likes of Middlesbrough, Stoke, West Brom.

And then there's Spurs. And god knows what they'll end up doing.

Well I don't like the guy but he can play a bit, we just signed 'Spit the Diouf'. A must needed player with some pace to play on the right side of midfield and mix it up with attack.

It is amazing the difference a manager can make and its not always noticeable but whats Big Sam has done is immeasurable.

Reports than Spurts have offerered "cash plus Bent" for RSC.

Might not go to Man City after all it seems.

I dont understand why they are so intent on another striker. Pavluychenko has been in good form, Defoe has just come in. Neither of them are going to want to be sat on the bench so why are they going for another number 1 striker?

He has mate, he's got us competitive again and solid at the back. We've had loads of cleans sheets, i think about 5 in his 7 games in charge. Against Bolton we were poor 1st half but what a great turnaround second half and could have won it in the end. It ain't pretty with Sam but he is effective at getting results. Newcastle were 12th when he got the sack where are they now, err 16th. Sam is a good man.

I see Hughesy had another bid rejected, Roque might be one of those that get transfered about 11:59pm on Monday when he gets desperate and shells £25M!!!
